How can we have so many players that are unable to even get the mere basics right, the simplest of things yet they find them impossible? It is embarrassing how limited most of our players are. Chelsea have been average but we've allowed them to just stroll into a 3-0 lead. The errors we make when under little or no pressure make you wonder how these guys earn a very good living being very bad at what they do. Chelsea can help themselves to whatever score they want.

There's this beautiful moment during the first 15 minutes of most of our games, when it feels like we're competitive in the premier league.  And then... the first goal....

But you know, you can't take away that 15 minutes!

This. We have been so horrendously bad that now if we show a bit of fight we are happy with that. No, these players are on massive wages way above what they should be on. The odd mistake happens, it's human nature. But these useless cunts it's a guaranteed fuck up multiple times every week. Every point we have got this season has been lucky as fuck. This is the worst team I have ever seen in my life. Not just saints team, any team. They should be ashamed of themselves and hopefully all of the cunts have to drop to lower leagues (hopefully not with us) to prove themselves again. Imagine getting paid what they do and performing at their level. Absolute embarrassment to themselves and more importantly to our club. Fuck the lot of them I wouldn't piss on any one of them if they were on fire

It wasn't a difficult pass. It shows how little he cares that he was lacking concentration in that moment.

If you say so.

I think it was just a poor decision and poor application. That's what `not quite good enough' players in a struggling side do in an attempt to keep the ball.

In other news... I really like tall Paul and hope he stays with us. If we'd built a playing strategy around him, we'd be in a much better place I think.  We all know he's occasionally clumsy... but when he's good, he's REALLY good.    How many times have we given him the chance for the type of thumping header he delivered this half? Not nearly enough.

Weirdly, performance wise, we've been much better today. Just the same old story of giving goals away.

And not scoring them, there's that as well! I do know what you mean though, but our standards are so low we look good if we don't concede for 10 minutes.

If Sugawara isn't pulled at half-time, I'm heading down there myself to do it, absolutely filthy performance.

Yep. 15 minutes of fun.

Chelsea actually looked a little nervy (their fans were a little restless) and you think to yourself, if we were a half way decent side, we'd take these guys today...but we ain't. We are fucking shit.

We could have a half decent team and still lose to a club that spent nearly a billion quid on building their team.

We have an absolute shithouse bunch of cunts though so we're getting hammered.

Chelsea have been pretty poor, the fans were on their back, any competitive side would have put them to the sword.

We're not competitive, so a team playing fairly poor end up thrashing us in the first half.

Defensively a horror show, but what on earth do you expect? Aribo, Bree are not fucking centre backs. They never have been, never will be and should never, ever be put into this position. I feel for them, it's like we're putting those guys out to the slaughter.

Some of these players will never, ever recover from this season. As a club, I fear we will struggle to recover as well. Structurally everything is wrong, everything. This is not an overnight fix.

What is it with this club and managers constantly playing players woefully out of position? It’s almost like they’re taking the piss out of us to see how bad they can make us, fucking sick of this inept shit. All we want to see is an element of competitiveness, players in their correct sodding positions, doing the basics even half right, and players busting a gut even if they lack quality. But this shit show of a club can’t even provide the fans with that, and it’s an absolute fucking disgrace. In short, You couldn’t fuck this club up more if you tried!

The top three worst defences in PL history are

  1. Swindon - 93/94 - 91 goals*
  2. Derby - 07/08 - 89
  3. Fulham - 13/14 - 85

Our defence under Juric, extrapolated over a 38 game season, would concede 114.

*They actually conceded 100 goals but that was in a 42 game season. Adjusted to 38 games in line with everyone else they would concede 91

I truly hope we don’t see most of these shithouses playing for us next season, they’re a bloody disgrace to the city

Well, I mean it's not that strange - putting an actual CB on at CB.

It is for this manager. Surprised Archer didn't come on in defence.

Turned the game off (tbf I'm supposed to be working) so I've been looking at next season instead (of watching the game and working). I quite like the idea of stripping the team back then plugging gaps with decent signings. (Though we all know what SR are like with their signings). All IMO of course.

Likely Outs: THB, ABK, Onuachu, Ramsdale, KWP, Fernandes, Dibling. Possibly Downes, Sulemana and Bednarek too. I wouldn't be surprised if Sheff Utd take up the option on BBD. Taylor gone.

Our team next season could be:

GK: Baz, McCarthy, Lumley

RB: Suga, Bree

LB: Wellington, Manning

CB: Edwards, Wood, Kayi Sanda

CM: Smallbone, Aribo, Charles

AM: Fraser, Edozie

Str: AA, Stewart, Archer

Most importantly we need a good manager. And a flexible one, not one that picks the same formation every game then slots random players into that formation.

The gap is ginormous but there’s no way these bunch of pussies do anything other than collapse at Fratton.

A corner, an attacking opportunity.

And when was the last time we scored from a corner...? We are good at conceding from them, but scoring...... nah.

Do recall similar being said at the end of the 22/23 season and we bounced back ok. Yes, this is much, much worse, but get a decent manager in (big ask for SR) and we'll be grand. Couldnt care less if most of the players dont recover, because if we're serious about competing at PL level, quite alot of them shitebags will be gone in the summer and not a moment too soon

Right. Would you rather that there wasn't any good play from anyone then?

Jesus, I'm trying to look for encouraging signs of life in the side for next season.

Hoping the club do the right thing and give a substantial discount to any of us sad lot who decide to renew next season. Shambles.

10% discount and a pack of Prozac.

10% discount, blindfold and ear mufflers for each game 😄. Seriously though - for anyone who paid £500-£750 for this season it would be embarrassing if the Club doesnt recognise what we have had to watch this year.

Reckon you'd find more encouraging signs of life in the local morgue than in our squad FFS...!
