Football Special Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Fancy us to get something, they're on a losing run, there for the taking. Been a decent ground over the years for us 7 1
Appy Posted February 22 Posted February 22 One crumb of comfort, we’ll have a better goalkeeper starting than them. 2
spyinthesky Posted February 22 Posted February 22 I feel vey sorry for those fans travelling to Stamford Bridge and Anfield 4

Pamplemousse Posted February 22 Posted February 22 One of the closest away games for me, so one comfort is I'll be tucked up in bed soon after they've done with us. It'll be a horror show, especially if you add in Maresca's record against us (4-1, 5-0 and 5-1). 1
Andy Hill Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Only one result possible. Our “Last Man Standing” this season has been a farce - everyone just goes for whoever Saints are playing !
Andrew Watson Posted February 22 Posted February 22 I bet Cole Palmer is looking forward to the game,he has not scored for 4 games, highly unlikely he will not score against Saints. The way we try and defend we could be close to conceding over 90 goals,by the end of the season. 1

bobby_charles Posted February 23 Posted February 23 I'll be there in the home stand with the brother in law who's a blues fan, he's been asking for advise on how to deal with loosing. As with all things it's the 5 stages of grief, I fear he is stuck in denial, but he will probably feel better after Tuesday. I though will be feeling rough as fuck as I found a 6th, heavy binge drinking. 1 1
St. Ciervo Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Anything under 0-5 would be gravy. Id love to see some fight or guile in the team. If our players cannot muster that up, they can f-off for the season and let someone with heart step in. I would also enjoy seeing players in their strongest positions. But that is all crazy talk. 1
benjii Posted February 23 Posted February 23 It's the kind of odd fixture we might pick up a point in. But we'll probably get smashed up the jacksie. 1
Saint Billy Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Surely the opposition is feeling a bit sorry for us by now.

Sarnia Cherie Posted February 23 Posted February 23 I always hope for the best but with my realistic head on I can't see us getting anything here. Chelsea may be on the slide from earlier in the season but they haven't slid down anywhere near as far as we have.
sfc4prem Posted February 23 Posted February 23 In a way I've benefitted from us being utterly shite. I've gained a lot of free time. For example a leisurely stroll on the beach with my two kids yesterday instead of taking them to the game. On Tuesday it'll be a whole evening spared, again pretty useful. Perhaps I'll tune back in next season and give all that time back to Saints. 2

Instead of gracing St. Mary's with your presence next season just pop along the coast to Brighton or Bournemouth if you want to see a few matches won. 2 1

die Mannyschaft Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Taking my son to CFC for his first away game, I did think maybe a draw but it's unlikely we will get anymore points. At least we have 1 or 3 shots per game. I would shoot on site at thier keeper, even a grass cutter, lob from 40 yards. CFC 7-1 Saints worst case, best case scenario CFC 0-0 Saints now 1/1000 on for relegation .
ally_uk Posted February 23 Posted February 23 We’re about to get hammered 8-0. The fans might even protest by cracking open a bag of XL Walkers crisps in defiance… What a shitshow of a season....... 1 1
FarehamSaintJames Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Is it on TV? If it is, I’ll take my wife to the cinema instead.

saintoaks Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Stephens will be back, remember his last start against Chelsea, that went well 😂 3
Wade Garrett Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Wonder what shape and tactics the dour one is going to inflict on us for this game?
Harry_SFC Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Ramsdale; KWP, ABK, Stephens, Wellington; Ugochukwu, Downes, Fernandes; Sulemena, Dibling, Onuachu/Archer. Assuming THB and Bednarek are still out. Would just be nice to see something a bit different formation wise. It'll obviously be a 5 again though with Smallbone in the middle and Aribo at CB. We can only hope that Juric spends the 10 day gap after Chelsea working on some alternative tactics because the 3 points we need to overtake the record look a long, long way off. 1

Big Les can't play as he's on loan from Chelsea, so Downes really has to step up. I don't want to see ABK ever again. Where is Wood and Taylor? 1
ApprenticeBillionaire Posted February 23 Posted February 23 They are going to go in dry. And honestly, I don't even care. There absolutely no way we're coming out of this any better than a 4-0 loss. 2

Assumed Wood was injured too, unless he was just left out all together yesterday.

Zorba Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Prediction.. Skeptical Pre kick-off Hopeful at Kick-off Irritated by half-time Thankful for the final whistle Embarrassed at the scoreline 2 8
woodsaint1 Posted February 24 Posted February 24 We're really scraping the barrel when it comes to the defence (as we are with the whole team), but would still rather see actual CBs playing at CB instead of fucking James Bree and Joe Aribo. Hopefully with Juric's comments he realises he needs to drop the 3 at the back bullshit. Unlikely though. Ramsdale KWP Stephens ABK Welington Dibling Downes Fernandes Gronbaek Sulemana Onuachu 2
Saint_clark Posted February 24 Posted February 24 (edited) Ramsdale Bree Wood ABK Welington Downes Dibling Fernandes Sulemana Archer Onuachu Edited February 24 by Saint_clark

(To the tune Guantanamera, or has the tune already been adopted for him)? Either way if he continued his current track record, Saints could play CFC a dozen times and he might get a single goal, best case. 1

Graham the dog fixer is on the box on Tuesday at 8.00pm. Much better entertainment and free to view (er um!). Maybe he could fix Saints problems with a few chicken bites and the odd 'good boy!' and 'no!', Woof! Woof!
leesaint88 Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I could not give a flying fuck about this one and in all honesty I bet playing Fleetwood would be tougher for Chelsea than us. 1

He could teach it to “Get Downes” and maybe, as a treat, we could throw it some Wood and a Smallbone. It may even like a piece of Bree! 2

disconnect Posted February 24 Posted February 24 So with Harwood-Bellis and Bednarek out, along with Ugochukwu, who is going to play in the middle. Would he play ABK again potentially with Stephens and Wood?! Aribo back in centre midfield, or will Downes be brought back in? Either way, looks like we're going to have to pray we score a couple at least, as with those options, I can't see us conceding less than 2.
