Change the manager?

Aside from the cost, I can't see it making any difference. Heads are so low, nobody could sort it out.

No doubt in my mind after today, we've reached out points total for the season.

Maybe, but the players have clearly given up, they're just taking a wage. I can't see anything changing with a new manager now.

None of them were coming here previously either. Anyone that is any good can look at this team and know they have absolutely no chance - which they did.

For them to go, somebody needs to want to buy us, and who in their right mind has pockets deep enough to buy us AND spend what will be needed to make this disaster of a squad competitive. I think that we are stuck with SR in at least the medium term. We just have to hope that Dragan has seen the light and balls big enough and pockets (still) deep enough to sort this shit-show out.

Elon Musk?

Sure, we are an absolute mess in the PL. But it is still an attractive job. Someone who wants a big wage for themselves, a squad full of players who are good at the level we are going to be playing next season, plus a very big wage and transfer budget compared to most of the other clubs in the Championship and a good chance to be a manager in the world's highest profile and richest league for 2026/27.

Sell the jewels, bring back the chaff and we go again next season n the Championship. This season is a huge bust.

Speaking of huge busts...

Yes, that's very impressive but we need to ask you a few questions.

Rusk until the summer. No point wasting more money on a managerial appointment now. I'd have no faith in those twats to appoint another manager anyway.

WTF have I just seen? Player through on goal and our lot just stand there…do nothing…almost willing the Brighton player to score.

Ramsdale the only player to come away with a plus rating despite 4 goals down.

Honestly I'd give it to Lallana for the rest of the season. He's not exactly doing much on the pitch. Start fresh in the summer. This team is beyond hope anyway. Play some youngsters, give them some experience. Its depressing.

I was ‘Martin Out’. I was hopeful in juric first couple of games. This is the same but just different, no discernible tactical plan at all other than man mark everywhere and play as many people out of position as possible. Martin had to go. Juric does too. And so do most of the players. Luckily we’ll keep Stephens, Smallbone, Fraser bazunu, and  lumley.. /s

You think our squad will be good in the Championship next season !!!! I'll settle for actually staying in the Championship.

Saints lose, predictably.

England set a Champions Trophy record score and Australia chase it down.

If the Scots win the Calcutta Cup it will complete a perfect day.

Pretty much all of it to be honest. Attractive job with these owners? Nope. Squad of players who are good enough for the Championship? Armstrong we loaned out, why would he want to come back here? Downes has a problem with club he'll want to move on. Other players like Bednerek probably wanting to leave too. We got extremely lucky last season to go up with a squad ten times better quality then we will have next season.

Everything about this season, this team, this squad, these owners, this club is beyond fucking awful. There’s nothing else to say really, I cannot believe the depths we have plumbed.

Yep, most are shit in the Premier League. But in the Championship the vast majority are top level. We are now a club with a squad full of players too good for the Championship, but not good enough for the Premier League. Just look at the strikers we have on our books, all would be prolific in the Championship. I know their futures are up in the air, but would all be stand out strikers at that level.

Stay tuned. Nothing suggesting this is rock bottom yet.

We are not done "plumbing"

Chelsea and Liverpool away next, 9-0 would be a good result at this point. we’ve gotten worse and I didn’t think that was possible.

Almost getting to the point where it would be disappointing not to round off the season with a 10-0. We’d might as well truly make it a season to remember.

I remember watching the game at SJP on the first day, where we lost 1-0 due to a McCarthy howler, and thinking "Yeah we don't look too bad you know. We didn't win but there were some really positive signs there. Maybe we won't be quite so bad this season after all".

Feels like a very, very long time ago now.

it's a massacre week in, week out.
Don't know how to feel anymore...
Wished it was apathy but that's rarely given to life long supporters.

How many will we let in?

Both have the potential to be 9.

I hope that that's just the combined score.

The problem is that apart from anything else, for the first time in 65 years, I have little or no affinity with anyone in our squad. I wouldn't be disappointed if the whole bloody lot left.....

This, and Derby's record - I reckon we could do both!

I really don’t like the strategy of starting archer as a lone striker. We just sacrifice any presence up top. Onachu may be limited but he needs to start imo.
that said the big issue today was how bad our centre mid and cb were. Brighton barely had to work to be through on goal.

Not just the manager but the last 2 seemed to be stuck in their system which both let in loads of goals plus the players under both don't seem to know what they are supposed to be doing.

When the manager stops employing mental tactics with players out of position. I just want to see the team in a standard formation with CBs playing CB and RBs playing RB. Its really not hard

Tactics are still fucking stupid like they were under Martin. Get the basics right.

Depends if they have European matches. Could easily play 4/5 youngsters and win by 4/5. But think that would be a blessing.

So many of our fans are fucking wallies as well, getting all giddy cheering on ABK, a player who hasn't put any fucking effort and doesn't want to be here, compared to the ironic jeering of Smallbone last week.

What a mess the whole club is.
