Unless there is a huge turnaround in our tactics and passing side and back 0-6.

I was thinking Saints 1-0 as this is Bompey's fa cup final, thier biggest away day.

This game is NOT a local derby Wimborne FC are there rivals. Another set of irritating fans to see at the station god help us.

Only if you’re going to Brockenhurst, as there’s no trains between there and Central on Saturday 😂

You must be a pretty awful football follower if you did not realise the squad was pants last August

Of course the squad was "pants"... But what you don't do with a "pants" squad is attempt to play a style of football that's more suited to players that are the opposite of "pants".... What you do do is try someone different, with the hope that he can squeeze more out the "pants" squad than the dogmatic previous guy.... It might achieve something , it might not.... but you won't know unless you try.... Call me old fashioned....

No need for food poising, this is the game where heavy metal football clicks and we look like Real Madrid did last night against Citeh

Watching that I felt sure that RM has been taken on City’s coaching staff….all looked so familiar.

I am struggling to find any hope for this game. Bournemouth are everything I would love Saints to be. They have European football to play for and they won't be letting us stand in their way. 0-3.

They are a noddy club with weird, noddy little fans who are pussies. However well they are doing on the pitch we will always be superior just by virtue of not being from Bournemouth or Boscombe. A strange little place full of the blue rinse brigade or scrawny little dickwads.

Back in 2011 the police tried to protect Bournemouth and put the DEF in a police escort back to the station after our 3-1 win there in league one and as we walked past the cricket pitch some bellend from safety of the bar on the top of the Pavilion shouted down "i'll have a one to one with any of you" tough guy from 50 metres away not so tough when he was invited down to make good on his promise. When we went past their main pub their hardmen had locked themselves in the pub and were content to claim a victory by giving it wanker signs behind the lock door. Absolute bumbaclots the lot of 'em.

You’re being too kind. I’d have him in stocks in the centre circle and hand out free rotten tomatoes to the crowd.

Softie! What's wrong with tinned plum tomatoes? Catering size.

I've flown low level out of Bournemouth Airport quite a number of times and seen the Vitality stadium from the air; it really does look like a slightly overgrown non-league ground. But as pointed out above they are at least doing something about their training ground, unlike Portsmouth who left a trail of debt to various schools and colleges whose grounds they were using when they went bankrupt: whether the first or second time I don't recall. I do remember that they had an old shipping container with all their cones etc on one of the sites. and they were prevented from accessing it when it all happened!

I’d say most flights are ‘low level’ when they’re taking off TBH.

Sue, I think they have been in administration 5 times, and this is their forth reincarnation. I stand to be corrected.

Yes, I was thinking of the two most recent! The ones who took their debt down to 5p and then 0.5p in the pound..

The Ticket Exchange is open, currently around 350 seats up for grabs, and will be interesting to see if that grows if ST holders continue to chuck their seats back in.

This has gone up to 550 tickets available now so more season tickets being thrown in, looks like some fans have given up.

To be honest im surprised there isnt 20,000 season ticket seats listed on the exchange

We're probably better off trying to defend for our lives like we did at Fulham. If we are too adventurous we will leave space for all their attacking talent and it could be an ugly score line. In hindsight maybe we should've just stuck with Rusk..

Thought I'd get AI to write a positive message; I think it may have overdone it...

🔴 BELIEVE! WHY SAINTS WILL BEAT THAT TINPOT CLUB FROM DORSET 🔴

Alright, I get it. Everyone’s doom and gloom, expecting the worst. But let’s take a step back and actually think about this. Bournemouth? That small-time, plastic club? We’re seriously supposed to fear them? Absolutely not. Here’s why we’re winning this:

1️⃣ This is OUR match, not theirs – They keep calling this a "derby" because it’s the biggest game in their irrelevant little club’s history. For us, it’s just another game against an insignificant team. They’d give anything to have the history, the stature, the fanbase that we do, but they never will. We live rent-free in their heads, and their inferiority complex will show the second they step onto the pitch.

2️⃣ Fortress St Mary’s – Yes, we’ve had ups and downs this season, but at home, we’ve shown fight, resilience, and moments of real quality. The atmosphere will be rocking, and with the fans behind the team, there’s no way we let that lot turn us over in our own backyard.

3️⃣ Bournemouth can’t handle it when the pressure’s on – Let’s be real, they’ve had a soft ride this season. The moment expectation creeps in, they crumble. We’ve seen it before—when there’s any actual weight on their shoulders, they bottle it. They aren’t used to playing games with real intensity. This will be their undoing.

4️⃣ Overrated and Overhyped – They’ve had a decent run, sure, but let’s not pretend they’re anything special. They got comfortably dealt with by Liverpool in their last game, and when they’ve faced actual quality, they’ve been found wanting. They’ve scraped results against mid-table teams, but when they come up against a side with something to prove—like us—they’ll be exposed. Their so-called ‘European push’ is a fantasy, and we’re about to bring them crashing back down to reality.

5️⃣ Players with a point to prove – There’s been criticism, and rightly so, but this is a game where reputations can be made or redeemed. Expect big performances. There are players in this squad who need to step up, and what better time to do it than against a team whose fans think they’ve already won?

6️⃣ The fans will make the difference – Bournemouth might be used to playing in front of 10,000 pensioners in their tiny little stadium, but this is different. This is Southampton. This is a proper club. When St Mary’s is rocking, it lifts the team and drowns out the opposition. Every tackle, every press, every moment of fight—we’ll be there roaring them on.

So enough with the negativity. We’re winning this, and when we do, we’ll remind Bournemouth exactly why they will never be on our level.

Up the Saints! 🔴
