BotleySaint Posted Saturday at 16:43 Posted Saturday at 16:43 The wait to try and match or beat Derby's points record goes on. That's literally all I'm hoping for this season. 6
Saint NL Posted Saturday at 16:44 Posted Saturday at 16:44 Aribo off for Manning. What's the formation now? 1
Saint Fan CaM Posted Saturday at 16:44 Posted Saturday at 16:44 Excellent - Manning and Archer on. That’ll do it. 1
miserableoldgit Posted Saturday at 16:44 Posted Saturday at 16:44 Juric:- "No, no.....we played very well and did some good things.....until they scored. We created many chances....."

OttawaSaint Posted Saturday at 16:49 Posted Saturday at 16:49 KWP suffereing from Ryan Bertrand syndrome. Great player and loyal servant but is now absolutely shocking and a total liability.

Saint Fan CaM Posted Saturday at 16:49 Posted Saturday at 16:49 That nasty realisation that Bournemouth - yes, Bournemouth - have done the double over your team and not by just flukes…very convincingly. 1 1

Challenger Posted Saturday at 16:58 Posted Saturday at 16:58 I'll treat it with the same indifference that the owners, board, management and players show. Whatever.
obelisk Posted Saturday at 16:58 Posted Saturday at 16:58 Oh well. There was some hope for a few minutes but our finishing just isn't up to it. Neither's our defending. And the midfield is pretty threadbare too. 1 1

dsrdorset Posted Saturday at 17:05 Posted Saturday at 17:05 Depressing. We can't even get the basics right. 1

Ralph Fastenbüttl Posted Saturday at 17:08 Posted Saturday at 17:08 Like, why are all our players so shit? Why is the manager setting us up like this? Just... why is it all so relentlessly terrible all the fecking time? Getting a bit sick of this, lads. 10
Micky Posted Saturday at 17:11 Posted Saturday at 17:11 (edited) Much better scoreline than I expected against them, 1 - 3 is almost respectable for us. Yep, that's how far we've fallen, lose at home against the mighty Bournemouth and it's not at all a surprise. We could be the team that convinces the Premiere League to bring in 'vetting' because our players really shouldn't have been allowed to play in this league, they are nowhere near the required standard. Edited Saturday at 17:14 by Micky
obelisk Posted Saturday at 17:13 Posted Saturday at 17:13 I know it doesn't really matter but did anyone else think there was an offside in the build up to their 3rd. Haven't seen it back so can't say but - oh what the hell.😐 1
RedWillie Posted Saturday at 17:17 Posted Saturday at 17:17 Didn't see any bucket collections from their OAPs today. To be fair, we gifted them 2 goal start I guess.

Saint Fan CaM Posted Saturday at 17:21 Posted Saturday at 17:21 Not something I revel in, but I was among a few on here who called it early in us not looking likely to get past Derby’s record in any shape or form. Every area of our team is sub-standard in one way or another and there’s seemingly no competent management or coaching going on to even make a fist of the turd squad we’ve got. Definitely worse than the previous two relegation teams. I still can’t see us beating Derby’s record. Only players I’d keep on are Ramsdale, KWP, Welington, Fernandes, Big Les (if possible) and Dibling. Possibly keep Sulemana. The rest of ‘em should be sold or released - they’re losers. Juric out too and someone in who knows how to setup a solid 4231 / 433 and if necessary tweaks from there. 4
saintant Posted Saturday at 17:22 Posted Saturday at 17:22 Have others become immune to defeats now? I used to really hate it when we lost but these days it hardly registers. Shame it's come to this but our owners just have zero clue about running a football club. Not sure what made them think they were cut out for this sort of business but surely they must realise now that they are in the wrong game. Dragan should clear them all out. 15

Yeah it used to ruin my day, potentially weekend. Now it really doesn't bother me, which is a weird shame. I've become disillusioned to the point of numb antipathy. 6

I'm numb to the whole thing now. I feel no connection to the players, and very little pride in my team. Dismal. Hoping for a complete reset in the summer. 9
OneMrsWallace Posted Saturday at 17:27 Posted Saturday at 17:27 Not only are most of the players not good enough but they're on the beach by February. Look at the strength, pace and power in the established PL teams. We're so far off that. Will SR learn? I really don't know but history suggests not. 3
macca155 Posted Saturday at 17:32 Posted Saturday at 17:32 It really is embarrassing and bloody miserable now. As usual rallied for 10 mins and gave us hope, but Bournemouth were significantly better, and just stepped up a gear to put us back in our box. Just need to hang in there for 3 more points from the remaining games. 2

Saint Fan CaM Posted Saturday at 17:33 Posted Saturday at 17:33 I’m not sure why Spors was effectively brought in after the window (as if we were going to bring players in), but I sure hope he’s starting to work out a strategy to offload the losers in this squad. No sentimentality - just sell or release and get it right this time. Anything less will result in surefire torrid time in the Championship.

I only saw the second half because i just couldn't be bothered to get up earlier to watch...correctly predicted we'd be 2-0 down at half time (but had us down to lose 3-0 so Sulemana goal a bonus. There was a brief 10 minutes after we'd scored that if we'd scored again it could have been interesting. Of course we concede again to eliminate any chance of a nervous last few minutes for them. Thought Aribo played well, Fernandes, Dibbling, Ramsdale, Sulemana. Onuachu needs to get infront of his man and be more aggressive in the box. Juric? - anyone who plays Smallbone, let alone starts with him is an automatic incompetent red card in my book. I've had enough of him already. 5

I'm not sure why Spors was bought in at all - he hasn't exactly worked miracles in his previous role and right now we need something better than more mediocrity. I just hope something happens that will change our trajectory, but we seem to be making poor decision after poor decision and there really is no clear plan.
