Southampton manager Ivan Jurić has offered a positive update on several members of his squad ahead of Saturday's trip to Ipswich Town.

After fielding several questions on injured players in recent weeks, Saints' boss was pleased to share news on a handful of potential returns to action, with Kamaldeen Sulemana and Tyler Dibling notably ready for selection again.

"Kamaldeen and Dibling trained today with us, and they will be with us [for Ipswich.]" Jurić explained, before adding further reassurance on Dibling's availability.

"[Tyler] has recovered already, he did training today and I think he'll be ready."

In further positive news, the Croatian hinted at goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale's return with only minor issues for other members of the squad.

"Rambo did one part of the training today, and tomorrow I think he'll be okay. We had problems with [Ryan] Fraser and Woody [Nathan Wood], not big ones but they will be out for this one."

Jurić also shared updates on the potential return of Jack Stephens, with new signings Welington and Albert Grønbæk also in line for their first Saints inclusions.

"I'm a very happy guy that Stephens is with us, the [medical team] did a great job, because he did two trainings with no problems and sometimes it's not like this, so he's done very well. He's a quality player, a competitive player and he can give us a lot.

"[Albert] did a good week, he's a very interesting player because he's quick, very good technique, he had a good week and maybe he can play.

"Now I know [Welington] better, he's trained really well and we might can him a chance against Ipswich during the match. I think he can become a really good player for us."

Dibling and Supermana back - Ipswich won't know what hit 'em. Win 2 of the season coming up. Race for 19th place is on. :badger::adore::ninja:

I remember that Championship game against them (back in 2011). It was early in the season but that was the game where I thought, hang on, we've got something unbelievable brewing here.

We absolutley tore them to pieces.

That was a brilliant night and a great atmosphere. Saints played some scintillating football.

Very positive about Wellington. Looking forward to seeing him play. I'm not expecting the next Roberto Carlos, but an attacking fullback with pace and ball skills would be nice.

I remember the 2-5 game really well. I was in a Super 8 in Houston and kept having to run to reception to check the score on the customer desktop PC (this was before wi-fi was everywhere days) and couldn't believe it.

I have a sneaky feeling about this one as well. Think we'll weather the storm and take some points here. Going for 1-3. It has to click at some time, surely!?

It’s clicking but in the same way that my ankles click when I get out of bed every morning.

They're good on the counter attack, we need to sit in for 90 minutes and let them try to break us down.

If I remember rightly we've battered Ipswich 3 games in a row and not won any of them (edit: the 1-1 felt like a loss at the time). Would love it if we have a shocker and they hit the bar 5 times and then they score a last minute own goal for a filthy 0-1 win to Saints #karma

we,re not keeping a clean sheet

One of those efforts that hits the bar will deflect into the net of a defender , probably Stephens who's just come on to tighten things up

If I remember rightly Schneiderlin played a great assist for one of the goals. If that had been a City or Liverpool player doing that the pundits would be going on for ages about it.

Just wonder if any of my fellow old stagers on here remember us beating Ipswich 7-0 in an FA Cup game back in the 1960's?

Think we were 6-0 up at Half time.

Just before my time but I do remember us getting done 7-0 at their place early 70s, not that long after the 7-0 at Elland Road and an 8-0 drubbing at Goodison. I'd only been going a few years then and already knew it was never going to be easy supporting this football club (I've been away at Watford and Spurs for similar sorry shows).

I was there for this one in the Kingsland , right behind it.

Me too. One of those where the second it left his boot you just instantly thought 'that's in'. Then bam, hits the top corner while still rising. Beautiful.

Another manager blindsided by Stephens.

Or maybe, just maybe, they see a decent competitive footballer who won't let them down.

The dogs abuse he gets on here is totally unwarranted.

The two sendings off were stupid and he deserved stick for that, but he's no worse or better than any of our other defenders.

The two stupid sending offs and subsequent suspensions let down his manager, teammates, fans... and was not worthy of someone wearing the captain's armband.

Suspensions for verbal abuse and hair pulling is so unprofessional, he's done nothing but let us down this season.

I agree, there's nobody in our squad who's let the club down more than Stephens this season. Everyone else, as crap as most of them are, is trying trying their best and basically playing at the peak of their abilities, ABK excluded. Being suspended for nine games (ten if you included the minutes he missed in the games he was s/o) in half a season is just pathetic.

Sorry but I just can't agree with this post. He's let us down massively this season. In terms of ability, he's definitely worse than THB and Bednarek and they aren't great.

Agreed. He was also our captain and supposed to lead by example so he's got a greater responsibility than the players might.

Well sorry but that isn't as good a statement as the OP might think as let's face it the standard is pretty low.

I have been told by a couple of mates who support other teams that it's only top of League One standard.
