Lighthouse Posted Tuesday at 16:59 Posted Tuesday at 16:59 Time for us to get mugged off by the tractor boys in injury time again. Any chance of Wellington and Gronbaek being in the squad I wonder.
Charlie Wayman Posted Tuesday at 17:31 Posted Tuesday at 17:31 We'll need Wellington and Blücher to defend against this lot 1 2
Morse Posted Tuesday at 17:36 Posted Tuesday at 17:36 Apparently hope' springs eternal, but I'm afraid my well has run dry. I expect us to take the lead and then throw it away in a second half display of weakness of mind and body. 3-1 2

die Mannyschaft Posted Tuesday at 19:00 Posted Tuesday at 19:00 This shoukd be a win even with half a squad or our usual makeshift setup. Is Bazunu ever going to get another 1st team game this season? And guess ABK will be bench warmer again.

obelisk Posted Tuesday at 20:34 Posted Tuesday at 20:34 Pressure's all on Ipswich in this game. They're the only ones with anything to play for. Time for Saints to relax and discover the art of scoring at last. 1
Pamplemousse Posted Tuesday at 20:41 Posted Tuesday at 20:41 We've got Michael Oliver as well, so please everyone in the ground be nice to him Trains are fucked again from London. Three times I've been up to East Anglia and every time there are rail replacement buses. 1
ErwinK1961 Posted Tuesday at 22:17 Posted Tuesday at 22:17 Ipswich 1-3 Southampton. Chris Marsden to turn into Maradonna.
SaintsBarry74 Posted Tuesday at 23:08 Posted Tuesday at 23:08 Pretend they're 07/08 Derby County and destroy them.

east-stand-nic Posted yesterday at 07:52 Posted yesterday at 07:52 I can see them coming out of the blocks fast for this one, knowing it is a game they can and should win at home. This win can lift them out of the bottom 3 and do wonders for their morale. They have goals in Delap and Szmodics, we don't. I can see them pressing us and perhaps racing into an early 2-0 lead, leaving us with it all to do. Final score perhaps a valiant 3-2.

Can we make Lallana watch this on repeat this week in the vague hope he remembers how good he used to be and turns it on again just for one game 1

I was open mouthed in astonishment as were all the Ipswich team. Nobody could believe what was happening. It was like the episode of Band of Brothers where Lieutenant Speirs runs twice right through a German occupied village without being challenged. It was just too crazy to be believed. 3

Cracking away day that day, remember travelling up with absolutely no expectations but it turned out to be a top day out. 1
OneMrsWallace Posted yesterday at 14:47 Posted yesterday at 14:47 I keep predicting we'll lose, so for the hell of it 2-1 to Saints. Nurse! I need my medication again.
sandwichsaint Posted yesterday at 15:02 Posted yesterday at 15:02 Went to both those games, CMFG and the 2-5, happy days. Ipswich have given it a good go this year and still have some sort of chance of staying up. We seem to be scoring one a game now but are still letting in two or three, or more. Loved the intro to last week's Guardian match report: When Eddie Howe called for a response from Newcastle after the bruising end to their nine-game winning streak last Saturday, he was aware the immediate task ahead was statistically the gentlest the Premier League can provide; perhaps destined to be the easiest in top-flight history. Results aside – an absurd combination of words in a sporting context – Southampton are no pushovers. They took the lead here for the third time in five league games. But they rarely draw and almost never win. Controversial, but I will go for a 2-1 or 3-1 to them.
Pamplemousse Posted yesterday at 16:31 Posted yesterday at 16:31 If we can just combine the first 80 minutes against Man Utd, the second half from Forest and the opening 15 minutes to Newcastle, we should win 4-0.
Toadhall Saint Posted yesterday at 17:12 Posted yesterday at 17:12 I’m going for a win to us. Don’t know why .

Like a clock is right twice a day, this bet hasn't won me anything this year but it must come right at least once, mustn't it?
ErwinK1961 Posted yesterday at 18:08 Posted yesterday at 18:08 In a comparable situation to last seasons teams, pretty sure Sheffield Utd beat Luton away 3-1 with three shots on target (including an Archer goal). #believe 1

Challenger Posted yesterday at 19:17 Posted yesterday at 19:17 Can't we dispense with these build up threads and just have a method of defeat prediction ? Bragging rights to the nearest turged dirge.
EssEffCee Posted yesterday at 19:24 Posted yesterday at 19:24 Another sold out away end. Let's hope the fans get something to cheer. 3
TheAlehouseBrawlers Posted yesterday at 19:35 Posted yesterday at 19:35 I'm feeling strangely optimistic about this game, no doubt will quickly diminish once the upcoming press conference reveals the potential line-up. But (somehow) win this and then there's light at the end of the tunnel for avoiding taking Derby's abysmal PL record. Suddenly points from Brighton, Wolves, Palace and Fulham at home would seem doable. Match-going fans are probably a little less doom-and-gloom than our internet lot, proof that we constantly sell-out home and away (Chelsea away quickly sold out a few days ago) - we need to find that 'Great Escape' vibe from the 90s just to get this side over 11 points and hopefully restore a nit of pride before we kick off back in the Championship this summer. Scar tissue was so last year. 1

jasonbenali Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) If I remember rightly we've battered Ipswich 3 games in a row and not won any of them (edit: the 1-1 felt like a loss at the time). Would love it if we have a shocker and they hit the bar 5 times and then they score a last minute own goal for a filthy 0-1 win to Saints #karma Edited 12 hours ago by jasonbenali 3

If there is a team we are most likely to beat it has to the be the second worst team in the league, doesn't it? Going to go 2-3 Saints. 2
