davefizzy14 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 (edited) Welington playing well. Gronbaek too. Edited February 1 by davefizzy14 1

SambaMaverick Posted February 1 Posted February 1 How can you watch Onuachu control 1000 balls in training over a week and then put him in a Premier League side 1
Disco Stu Posted February 1 Posted February 1 (edited) Game devoid of quality. Welington looks enthusiastic though. Edited February 1 by Disco Stu 1
Baird of the land Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Wellington looks bright. 4 minutes ago, Jack said: What’s the point in playing an 8 foot striker with an awful first touch if we’re not just going to bang crosses in to him? It’s one of the nice things about wellington he hasn’t got the memo that’s it’s wrong to try and cross the ball yet. hopefully juric does something about defence at ht, can’t carry 2 passengers in tbh and bree. 5
obelisk Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Saints defending is woeful. How a three at the back system can be so open through the middle is crazy. THB is so bad. Bedders far too slow. Bree pretty anonymous really. 1 1
NewYorkSaint Posted February 1 Posted February 1 I dunno. I loved that half. Wellington looks wonderful add. All to play for. We have two of our best players still to bring on.... 3
goodymatt Posted February 1 Posted February 1 The space in the middle is always there because our 2 holding mids have no pace, FBs go higher and then depending on which side we attack we end up with one of the three CBs going high too. Man for man marking then has one CB rush to the ball when it hits his man, leaving just the 1 CB in position. It becomes a very risky high line. 3
CylonKing Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Thought both new signings had a decent half. THB looks a liability to be perfectly honest, lots of wayward passes and stupid tackles. I find a few things annoying, mainly the amount of time we take for throw ins and the lack of crossing still. Get the ball in the middle for the 6ft 8inch striker to attack please. 3
Toadhall Saint Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Most of our defending today https://tenor.com/blc0W.gif 1
FarehamSaintJames Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Sack off the five at the back and put an extra player in the centre. Simple as, compete with them. 5

There was one beautiful trap and pass towards the end. Rather him than pinball Armstrong. 4
captainchris Posted February 1 Posted February 1 We really are not marking up.They can pass where they like, far too passive….. RM coached not to mark up, rather hoped Juric would change that..

This style needs speed and fitness, we lack a lot of that in this lineup. 1
ButtikonSaint Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Not bad half, we're competing, away, against a team at our level. Reminds me of last year and will probably be a top draw in the Championship next. Not getting much out of our "front" three... Only time Fernandes managed to get on the ball in a real attacking move, he got the assist for Aribo. Gronbaek seems like he will need time (or left midfield is not his position, no idea) TP is well.. TP. I'd take one of Bree,THB and Gronbaek off, put Dibling and Sulemana on for a 4-2-3-1

This does have some merit. However our two centre backs have proved all season they are not good enough… Ipswich are exploiting our two slow centre backs. 1
coalman Posted February 1 Posted February 1 (edited) Had a bloke coming door to door raising money for a charity football match. I gave him twenty quid and he asked me who I supported. Then he tried to give my money back. Edited February 1 by coalman 3

Bewildered Posted February 1 Posted February 1 1st half Positives: Goal Wellington Negatives: The rest
Saint Fan CaM Posted February 1 Posted February 1 If Juric is to make changes I hope he takes the initiative and makes Ipswich react, rather than the other way round. This game needs pace up front the way it’s playing out - Dibling up front centre and Sully on for Bree, with Les dropping back to sit in front the defence.
obelisk Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Saints have taken the lead in a number of games but still haven't found a way to hold on and even increase that lead. I suppose it's progress of a sort.
lambtiss Posted February 1 Posted February 1 David Moyes looks like he has sorted Everton out already.

BotleySaint Posted February 1 Posted February 1 We're playing the second worst team in the league and the gulf in class is massive. We look very little threat. Can't see us getting anything. 1

Wade Garrett Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Was going to watch the 2nd half but not going to bother now he’s putting Stephens on. You’ll learn Juric. He is absolute fucking dogshit.

OttawaSaint Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Oh God. Why.....? ABK is there. Is there some sort of club clause that a JS love in must happen for every manager? 1
macca155 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 (edited) What on earth is wrong with Hardwood Bellis. He seems to be cruising for a red. Oliver has spoken to him several times already. He needs to come off. Edit Miles behind hete, he has come off. Why not ABK Edited February 1 by macca155 1

OttawaSaint Posted February 1 Posted February 1 What's with the amateur theatrics from Ipswich? Two players writhing in "agony". 2
