Archer was atrocious at Forest.

Marginally more atrocious than Armstrong who at least got in a position to miss his kick from about two yards

Feels like a straightforward away win doesn’t it. Manning, Bree, McCarthy, Armstrong all miles off it at this level.

I'm sure we'll come shining through👍

Could comfortably be 5, 6, 7 or whatever Newcastle want it to be. We have to be the most uncompetitive Premier League team in history.

Who would you play instead?

Given it’s against Eddie Howe I would have gone with Fraser instead of Armstrong. They are equally bad admitted but RF would have that little bit of bite about him to put one over that smug grinning bastard

So was Armstrong, who has been repeatedly poor.

So what’s your point? Armstrong gets picked ahead of another equally awful player, that’s Saints squad this season.

Newcastle to he 3-0 up at half time, come out for the second half and hardly put any effort in. We'll score an early one and have one or two half chances while the Geordies keep us at arms length.

Everyone will praise Ivan's half time team talk and we'll do it all again next week 👍

It’s interesting to see Ivan out in the middle watching the warm up. Not something RM did far as I can remember. Seems as interested in nufc warm up as ours .
nb he’s just gone back in

Might not be a bad idea to start with AA as he will run and run and create space. With TP holding up things and AA speed it could cause problems. Ready to bring archer on later perhaps when Newcastle tire?

Let's face it, we haven't much else.

That's probably the plan in the 2nd half. Too late by then.

How exciting…on the brink of another record today,to add to the collection.
it could be our 6th straight loss at home in the premier league.
great time to be a Saints fan.

My point is Armstrong getting far more opportunities to be awful.

i do agree today’s options are particularly bad. I even think Ballard is unfortunate to not even make the bench considering the attacking injuries.

Newcastle beat Sheffield United 8-0 away last season I think, so wonder if they can surpass that.

This is hopefully the bit where we now win and I look stupid (please!).

Apparently 1 win in 35 prem matches according to 5 live.

What's the opposite of the invincible?  I suppose we should be glad that we've at least won a game this season to avoid such a fate.
