We are soooo poor. Sad when you look at teams like Bournemouth, Brighton, Brentford, Fulham and even Forest. Their clubs are far better ran than ours. We were in a great position in 2017/18 and slowly went backwards, but gained momentum to this dire state we are in now!

Maybe we are shite, but continually having goals chalked off, soft penalties awarded against us and red card fouls against not punished it’s entirely appropriate to vent anger against VAR.

The Martin mentality is too far entrenched in some players. First thought is always to make an easy pass backwards, attack at walking pace and refuse to cross the ball when in attacking areas. There are some signs that it's being knocked out of them but it'll take an exorcism probably. Trouble is there's now a losing mentality at the club.

Players are weak, too scared to do anyting with the ball, other than taking the easy option. Only players that look to do anything different are KWP, Dibling and Ferndades, who shock horror are the only PL quality level players we have.

We got totally robbed by VAR today. After all we were one up before it intervened. Obviously the third goal we shouldn't be so wide open, was totally avoidable.

Do you honestly think we would’ve held on to that lead if the pen wasn’t given?  Newcastle passed through us with ease and clearly took their foot of the gas second half.  They also hit the post twice. There was absolutely no scenario where we were not losing that.

We were never going to beat Newcastle playing walking football.

The amount of times we go sideways and backwards is infuriating.  And it’s because the whole team are a bunch of fucking lazy cunts who don’t want to run.

I left on the Smallbone for Big Les substitution.  Fucking abysmal.

The most exciting thing today was the fight that broke out in my block (5).  In saw a punch thrown that my 90 year old mother-in-law could have stood up to 😂.

I don't know why we're even having this discussion, it was a stonewall penalty. The ref just didn't have a good enough view of it initially.

We haven’t done that once this season so I somehow delighted. I’m all for being optimistic but we are so shit that to suggest we would’ve got anything from that is deluded. No offence!

Today we needed to go to a flat back four. Nobody knew who was meant to be picking anyone up. Manning poor, Brie poor and Armstrong anonymous.

we score from a cross and we spend the rest of the game not putting crosses in? Just don’t get it.

only positive is fernandes.. he’s absolute quality and won’t be here next season though.

time now to cash in on the better players.. focus on the cup And next season. 
the owner can do one as well, he’s allowed this shower of shite to occur under his watch.

Agree with 95% of that but it’s not the PL’s fault that the club has put amateurs consistently making key decisions on recruitment and organisation. Bitcon, Parsons, Rasmus, Martin, they’ve all been fucking hopeless. If you buy lightweight players based on data and you don’t think about how they’ll knit together in a cohesive and competitive system = Southampton 2024/25.

Bournemouth with a 12000 seat stadium aren’t playing the victims card ‘we can’t compete with Saudi-backed Newcastle’. They humped them at home last week and FFP limits their spending anyway. But they have a no-excuse manager and no-excuse boardroom who will spend north of £30m when needed on quality and more frugal players with pace, power and potential in others (Semenyo).

Stop thinking like little Hampshire victims and be ambitious in a ruthless industry - only way this turns around.

I find that I am watching the clock at St Marys now to see how many minutes are left to ensure we dont concede any more goals.
The VAR nonsense only papers over the fact that we have been totally outplayed for most of the games at St Marys this season.
I give credit to the players for their efforts but they are just not good enough individually or as a group.
I give credit to KWP and Fernandes who are bright lights in an otherwise dark experience.
Aribo did OK today but upfront we were awful.
It is interesting to see that our only win recently against a weaken Swansea side who got smashed b y Pompey and Cardiff and received another thumping today.

A fair summary. It is true to say that most football managers cannot see what is in front them and despite what some fans seem to think football is not some dark art that only ‘football people’ understand. This is why Cortese was so good. Cortese could cut through the crap and realise who had genuine football understanding and who would be pretenders.

Juric is doing his best but still he needs to adjust his thinking to compensate for what we don’t have and look further than those that continue not to perform and still are picked every week. 
Football is stuck in a time warp of doing the same thing over and over with no progressive thinking and problem solving. 
Look for another Cortese, the aggression, assertive thinking and progressive knowledgeable management which is missing has to filter down from the top. In our club there appears to be no accountability and that is true for players right up to the CEO.

I like Juric but he needs to justify his decisions for he, like other managers before him clearly needs some guidance and reporting structure to justify everything he does, particularly if we are struggling….

Our club is blowing in the wilderness with no apparent culpability. Meanwhile let’s continue with the same shit every single day expecting a different result….
