The cynic in me says that Sulemana has done enough on the last few games to put himself in the shop window to get his move - not bothered about the club one bit, and doesn’t want to risk himself any further. I may be way off the mark here, but Downes and Ramsdale have only just come back from fairly routine injuries (dead leg, broken finger) that took far too long to get over. Both have been disappointing this season. Motivating and keeping players interested when you know you're down by New Year was always going to be a challenge. Maybe they are genuinely injured but I doubt anyone would rush back. No doubt someone will bang on about them being professional at all times blah blah; but they're human beings and the situation is so shit it's bound to reduce motivation for some if not all the players. In terms of a result, given injuries probably means AA starting 3-1 to Newcastle. Edited Friday at 14:28 by OneMrsWallace

Saintinnot Posted Friday at 16:14 Posted Friday at 16:14 Maybe our best chance of 3 points for the rest of the season - If their plane can't make it and they don't show up!

Chez Posted Friday at 17:58 Posted Friday at 17:58 Just now, Saint_clark said: Armstrong and Fraser? 😂 Triffic. Fraser was on the bench, so is next in line. At least you know he will put a shift in. I noticed Archer wasn't on the bench in the Forest game and we had two CBs on the bench, so is he injured? I guess if we played two up front in a 4-4-2 (which we won't) we'd still need a right midfielder, which we don't have. Maybe Sugaware/KWP or Armstrong doing what he does best and that's work up and down the pitch rather than score goals. 1

By the way, don't let anyone say you don't bring something special to this forum. 10 posts so far and there have been some gems. Can I suggest you spend less time watching the games and more time developing your posting skills, cos at the moment, you might not be presenting your very best self. Andrew Watson Posted Friday at 23:03 Posted Friday at 23:03 A 3 or 4 goal pasting, I am sure we will get the backlash for their no show against Bompey last week. As much as I dislike Bompey, they have been magnificent this season.
die Mannyschaft Posted Friday at 23:54 Posted Friday at 23:54 Got my Chelsea away ticket today so if we don't win tomorrow Saints will pickup 3 points at Stamford Bridge.
ApprenticeBillionaire Posted Saturday at 00:00 Posted Saturday at 00:00 Only reason I'd go to this game is for the night out in Newcastle. If the same team turns up VS manchester united then we MIGHT get something.

Grobbelaar kept us in it after Kitson’s overhead kick put them ahead and after Simon Charlton whacked a free kick against the bar we were pouring forward and Newcastle cracked in the final dramatic minutes. I can see my teenage self in the clip of the third goal in the Archers. That stupid tannoy announcement telling the Archers to sit down fired up the crowd a treat which all helped the momentum swing.

He did use to play good cop/bad cop about RM, eventually saying he should go once it went to shit this season.

captainchris Posted Saturday at 13:55 Posted Saturday at 13:55 Armstrong has proved to be a complete waste of space this season, there is no point what so ever in playing him. Why is Sam Amo being completely ignored…. The lad has bags of skill yet doesn’t even get on the bench…. 3
bpsaint Posted Saturday at 13:57 Posted Saturday at 13:57 Bless ArmA, I know he was massive for us last season but he’s just a waste of a shirt in this league. Not that there’s a lot of choice admittedly but he’s just not the answer. 1-5 to Newcastle

Lighthouse Posted Saturday at 13:59 Author Posted Saturday at 13:59 TBH that’s about as good a team as we can put out today. I’ll say 2-1 to Newcastle, with a TP header but from open play this time.
Gingeletiss Posted Saturday at 14:00 Posted Saturday at 14:00 Can only see another loss. If they score early, it could end up 5 or 6 nil to them. Hold out to half time, and maybe a 2 nil loss. Sad time to claim your a Saints fan. 1
