This is a different level of horrible though, like we're not even close. We're not competitive in any game we play.

I get the gap is big, but it's not this big - which is why I can't see things being too different in a lower league with this bunch. Mentally most of them will never recover.

Maybe. I prefer to worry about that in a few months time.  It's bad enough watching this shit now without imaging how much worse it will be next season.

Forest are decent. That's being overlooked. I didnt feel five at the back was thew answer today. Juric is too rigid to that formation.

Not watching as son has an Ice Hockey match, but is Armstrong doing his party trick of running towards a player in possession, then stopping about 3m away, allowing him all the time in the world to select a pass?  It’s the most pathetic thing in premiership football, someone needs to make a YouTube montage of it.

Yes... He is doing that nonstop. . He actually keeps moving forward, but his strides go to 1/10th the length. I recall seeing him do it in the first game he played for us, and my heart just sunk. 4 managers later and he is still doing it. So I thought the problem was with me.

He scored 24 Championship goals last season and we will be in the Championship.

Which is the league he should’ve stayed in. Proved now with 2 gos at the top league that he isn’t at the standard required along with 3/4’s of our squad

What kids you talking about?

Sam Amo, O’Brien Whitmarsh, even Ballard. Play Sulemana, Fernandes, Dibling when fit, Archer, buy a couple in readiness for next season, recall Edwards if we could, and get rid of the old guard who are mentally broken. Start again.

I'd say the entirety of the team are. Even last season they were shown up in moments, heads dropping and wilting when the going gets tough.

Their somewhat limited quality may squeaked them over the line last season, but you need more than that at PL level. I'd be inclined to start completely afresh and get as much $$ as we can for every single one of these players in the summer. They've shown they're all incapable at this level, some have had multiple stabs at it, so there is no point in keeping them around if our ambition is to somehow establish in the PL.

I get the impression they are hearing some home truths from Juric. I imagine Downes has got / will get a bashing.

I wonder if that because Juric has asked them to start putting in a shift, has cancelled their days off and is calling a few of them out?

This is it really, he’s probably been one of our least obviously shit players over the last 5 or 6 years. Make no mistake though, he also is in no way a Premier League quality player.

He's been obviously not good enough for the Prem since day one and I have said as much. Too slow in body and mind. Technically limited. Not dominant in the air or on the ground. He tries hard, but Championship level is about right for him.  Defenders that have to chuck themselves to the floor all the time are doing so because they cant keep up.

Remember the start of Ralph's final season with us when we loaned out Stephens and Bednarek and how much hope we had for Salisu and ABK.... Good times.

Both came back and made captain. Pathetic from those in charge.

Correct. We should have sold Arsmtrong this summer. But we didn't and are now heading back to a league where he is prolific. So it makes sense to keep him for a promotion campaign and then sell him if that is achieved as he is out of his depth in the PL.

Why sell a player capable of scoring 24 Championship goals when you are going to be playing in the Championship? The time to sell him is not this season, it is after any potential future promotion.

Fuck that. This lot have embarrassed us enough and don’t deserve to wear the badge of this great club, in any league. Mass clear out in the summer and rebuild.

Why would it break their spirit? No one would expect them to win, which wouldn’t matter because we’re losing every week anyway.

Why sell a player when he is prolific in the league you will be in?

So your answer is to bring Sam Amo, O’Brien Whitmarsh and Ballard in? OK.

Too be honest,, I don't think he was anything special last season, he missed a lot of chances where it was easier to score.

I think that is likely, they were quite happy tossing it off on Martin’s easy street, all they had to do was religiously follow instructions for ball possession,  not worry about the results, enjoy their days off, whilst becoming millionaires and with the odd cuddle thrown in here and there for good measure. They are being held to account now and they don’t like it one bit.
