I thought is was Nottingham (Nottm) Forest and Notts County??

Seem to remember Brian Clough went ape shit when Notts Forest was engraved on a trophy they won. Made them redo it .

you are missing the `best' one, or at least the one that annoys my brother in law Forest fan, David McGoldrich, whose £1.2m fee helped us afford Sir Rickie.

Ah yes of course!

They're good on the counter attack, we need to sit in for 90 minutes and let them try to break us down.

The Forest fan I know has been unbearable recently, would love to bring them back down to earth

Get that Mickey Evans back in the side , he'll take his chances

How daft we were to bin off Maik Taylor in favour of Jones. Could've had another decade from him at the top level.

1x spare ticket for today’s game. Can meet in Nottingham / at ground

(yes, I know, I’m being optimistic)

Tough slog ahead, strong side and probably the best ground in the country for atmosphere these days. Optimistic head on, a hard-fought draw would be another positive step on the Juric turnaround.

Edit: Just throwing this little beauty in there from the reverse fixture - tbf we only lost 0-1

Hoping for:
Four at the back, Manning on the left, KWP on the right, extra attacking player up top. Strong performance.

Reality:
Five at the back, probably three RB’s, no striker, little attacking intent apart from a sporadic counter attack. Forest dominating and scoring at least three. “Plucky” Saints unfortunate again.

Live just over an hour's walk from the ground. To get there I have to walk along Southampton St and go past St Mary's gardens, surely good omens for today...2-0 Forest! 😁

Rightly so.

Notts is short for Nottinghamshire - the county, not the city. Would be akin to someone calling us Southants.

Juric is a 3 CB merchant; doubt it will change. Worked well enough for a chunk of time on Thursday. As did the attacking set up.

Hoping we can build on the good stuff from last time out. Not really expecting any kind of result, but some continued effort, organisation, pride and attacking intent will be a nice thing.

I'm surprised we were so far up the pitch. The graphic perfectly captures the look down the wing and come back tendencies though

Anyone know if Dibling is going to be fit for this one? Hoping he is as the front three with him, Fernandes and Sulemana worked pretty well against Man Utd.

To this day, those were the maddest 'tactics' I think I can remember seeing someone actually set out to do deliberately.

Then came the Bournemouth game, where he somehow managed to top it.

How some people still defended him after witnessing those two shit shows I will never know.

My hunch is that it'll be a tough call, assuming he picked up 'just a knock' rather than something more serious. As a still-developing teenager, there's a danger that we 'run him into the ground' in these 2-games-per-week scenarios, but given how much we have now come to rely upon him, resting him is almost tantamount to starting with 10 players, given we don't have anyone who can adequately replace what he brings to the table. #bitofaconundrum

I'm hoping that our attackers have been getting some shooting practice. Just a bit more composure with the finishing on Thursday would have seen Saints walk away with 3 points, not for the first time either.

How can anyone have seen KWPs performance on the left against Diallo and put him there again a few days later? Especially a premier league manager.

Posted

I think people forget KWP saved a couple of goal attempts by tracking Diallo a lot into the box.

I thought he did ok the other night, got unlucky with the richocet for the first and 2nd was just equiste play

Sule's first good game for us rewarded with being on the bench - but Archer in so I'm happy. I predict Archer will be key to us next year.

It's Possesion Death Metal, looks aggressive but more asleep in a coffin.

I like that yellow kit, shame we’ve lost every single league game we’ve played in it.

Glad to see Archer back, TP seems to have fallen out of favour somewhat.

To be honest I’m past getting wound up by who’s in and who’s out now given it seems to make very little difference in any particular game and it’ll make no difference whatsoever in the season, we are down and we are finishing bottom.

Thanks Lighthouse. Don't know how to put this screenshot on the site. Really helps to see the team in its entirety. With Dibbers injured, this doesn't look much of an attacking threat at all.

Both Sulemana and Ugochukwa losing their places seems a little harsh. Aribo didn't play badly the other night but big Les was a physical threat and we have precious little of that.

I'm guessing Sulemana can't play 90, so he'll be on around the 60 minute.

Maybe Ivan wants to keep something back on the bench, to avoid a Thursday type capitulation.

Guess we'll see.

Despite what some say our midfield without Ugochukwu has very little defensive protection given that Downes seems to just charge around like a headless chicken this season.

I’m assuming (changes) are a conditioning thing. Though does annoy me slightly seeing Armstrong getting a million opportunities.

A bit surprised that Sulemana doesn't start after what he showed in the past 2 games, bit of tiredness maybe?
Guess Juric didn't fancy playing Archer or Sulemana on the right to replace Dibling.
Rest of the team seems about right.

Armstrong and Archer in the same team seems pointless to me.

And I would have played three actual centre backs (ie Wood) as we have their Wood to deal with.

That said, worrying about our first eleven feels academic. We can't beat this opposition I'm sorry to say.

Prove me wrong ladsssssss
