OnceaSaintalwaysaSaint Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Don't like Aribo and Big Les in the same team. Downes is on the bench. If he's fit enough to be there, why can't he start?
SNSUN Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I haven't slept in 27 hours, I'm hoping by 5 past 8 I'll be sound asleep. Same old same old I fear. 1

The Kraken Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Can’t see us scoring, can’t see us conceding less than 3 with such a non existent midfield and 3 right backs. 1
saintant Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Result matters not a jot but we do need to see a decent performance. 1

davefizzy14 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 (edited) Manning deserved to keep his place for tonight and we are better balanced with him on the left and KWP back on the right. Hoping Downes comes on in the second half. COYR 😊 Edited January 16 by davefizzy14 2 1

Main thing is to show some sort of spirit and promise for the future.

Tanlee Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Why did we bother resigning Lallana if he's not considered worth a start over Aribo( who's pointless) even if only for 60 mins now and again 2
Killers Knee Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Keep Man Utd from scoring more than 5 and i consider it a success 1
ButtikonSaint Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Like Juric's pressers. direct, honest, focussed and no bull. Hope it influences the team to be the same. Team selection and 3-4-3 shape are inline with availability and capability of players. We've been so bad that I'll take any decent performance tonight, irrespective of result. It's now about rebuilding confidence and competitiveness within that squad. 7 nil Saints ;-)
DT Posted January 16 Posted January 16 (edited) Just been watching the build up with the players skulking around on the pitch in little groups and a few of them staring at their phones on their own, headphones on (tall Paul I’m looking at you). Terrible body language. Walker Peters sheepishly saying they were there to win, to camera, not wholly convincingly. I fear a drubbing. But at least we haven’t got to watch Armstrong running round aimlessly like a rabbit in a big field. Edited January 16 by DT 1
Saint_clark Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Last minute goal by Archer in a 3-2 win for Saints, back from 2-0 down at halftime. 4

East Kent Saint Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Apparently Saints have scored the least number of goals across the top 5 leagues so far this season !
Convict Colony Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I just hope we look like a competent team who can attack united. Would be good to score some goals but with only 12 in the league I'm not holding out too much hope unless Sullemana becomes Mane mark 2 and Fernandes become Deco mark 2

SouSaint Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Midfield already nowhere to be seen there. One simple pass and Bruno Fernandes had the freedom of the pitch.
