Font is awful. Kit is awful. Saints are awful. Everything is Fcuking awful.

Senior Management is awful. January transfer window is awful. January is awful.

On a serious note, you can kind of get an idea on the template design based off the latest Puma international kits. So judging by the new Portuguese one it'll be a round neck with some sort of embossed motif.

We did even worse in the PL in 2023/24, with a grand total of 0 points.

Should have the reverse stripe on the back of the shirt in brown, to symbolise the amount of times the team have shit the bed after scoring a goal

We should play in all white for the rest of the season to indicate our abject surrender.

Agree with CSA96 above, brown stripes should feature on the kit.

Just a brown splat. A stripe would insinuate our players move fast enough to create a skid mark.

Do you think the kits could have a nod to our '76 (cup run/winning) kits? It's the 50 year anniversary next season.

Would be decent if they did. Also 140 anniversary of the club, any excuse bring back the Sash kit, happy memories of 10/11 season

Good shout.  Would love to see a decent accurate homage to the Admiral yellow and blue away and the candy stripes home 1976-1977 kits - no need to muck about.  Remarkably, the iconic candy stripes have never made a reappearance in 45 years!  You'd hope that this would be good juju for a proper promotion push, should we recruit some committed footballers over the summer.

Here are the Saints candy stripes, adopted by Red Star Belgrade in 1980:

Museum of Jerseys على X: "Interesting discovery of the day is that Red Star Belgrade had Admiral kits in the mid-to-late 1970s, the same style as Southampton https://t.co/LE2Oxy8h0w" / X

That was a bad time for RSB though, they still talk about the year they only had 5 players and no goalkeeper. Still ended the season with more points than us though…

Mid season they appointed Russell Juric, who promised prog-rock possession football but was sacked by Easter!

Have to wonder if something like that will even register with the club nowadays. They’re not fans and don’t have any longstanding affinity with it.

The DanishPyjamas from last season were at Hummels initiative, and it was written on here that the sash in 2010 was from a discussion Fitzhugh Fella had with Oldknow after Liebherr bought the club.

Providing they don’t insist on a plain white back.

This feels incredibly likely to me.

The red and white kit especially is perfect for revival.

Won promotion in that kit as well don’t forget. Perhaps an omen

Channon, Ball, Williams, Boyer and MacDougall all playing in it. Be a lot to live up to.

God it’s depressing that near on every year fans with a laptop and a spare half hour are able to mock up kits that look much more appealing than what we end up with.

I’m sure there is a reason to do with big suppliers, standard templates, prominence of logo etc but we don’t half get served some dross.

That being said good on the pitch memories always elevate the affection towards kits. Give me the Mr Blobby inspired kit if the trade off is romping to the championship title playing like peak Brazil!
