We've had one good game and one shit game. As Selles said in his press conference - the only game that matters is the next one. It's a process. There's a lot of crap at the bottom of the league and this team has the set up to score goals. Sulemana needs to learn how to run off Tall Paul because against Chelsea he held up the ball and laid off better than I've seen Che ever do. Tell me I'm being thick but why, when we've got arguably the best dead ball specialist in the league, don't we have people running at the defence drawing free kicks? Only KWP when he cuts inside seems to do this. Can't they practice this? Like one poster once said, do they take a football to training? 5

I hope this pre-planned bulk substitution thing on 60 minutes is a temporary fix for something (maybe until our new recruits are fit enough to run 90 mins in the Prem) but didn’t like it when NJ did it either. Smacks of desperation and not reading individual situations in the game well.

Might be different when you play in the top team in Belgium but playing this formation with the bottom team in the PL I think he would end up isolated and immobile. I was embarrassed by Saturday and seeing Bazunu time wasting from the off said an awful lot about our approach to the game. Even if he doesn’t win the ball there is usually a second ball up for grabs, at Leeds there was no one anywhere near him, ever, very frustrating to watch.

Expand Absolutely agree with this, I thought that would be the intended striker partnership when Tall Paul arrived but Che has been injured for a while and won't feature tonight. Fingers crossed he comes back soon as he is our best bet in open play.

It's the classic one you grow up playing, and for tall Paul, it makes more sense to stretch the play sometimes and cross balls in. A 4-2-2 setup can be quite narrow sometimes

Commitment to 4 2 2 2 was Ralph's downfall IMO, I am really worried that this is all that Sellles knows, thought he could pick a settled team, albeit with a couple of glaring weaknesses, and set the infamous "playbook" to work. 2
