Luck of the draw, that's the magic of the Cup.

Getting me excited now, will need to dig out my cardboard cut out FA Cup covered in silver foil for the BBC cameras on Sunday

Please don’t. If the cameras manage to capture it my TV may suffer some abuse. 😉😂

Love a bit of punishment, so foolishly offered to take my daughter and one of her school chums along. Delighted that they both accepted so that’s my Sunday buggered.

Hopefully they get to see us win or *at least* score a goal , new format of the FA Cup so even if it's a draw you get more value for money with extra time and perhaps penalties, that could be comedy gold watching some of our players take them.

To be fair, we did dispatch some beauties against Everton when it went to penalties earlier this season.

Are we really a mid-level championship team who got promoted by mistake? This game will reveal all.

Ironically, it was Adam Armstrong's finishing which got us promoted through his goals in the play-offs, after we'd finished 9 points off the automatic promotion places. Both Ipswich and Leicester did the double over us, with the latter beating us 9-1 on aggregate; a foretaste of what was to come when we faced even better teams.  For most of the season we looked far more like a mid-table team than a promotion one.

Swansea are currently 12th. Hopefully, we are the equivalent of an upper mid-table Championship team and can scrape though by the odd goal, for which we may need Adam Armstrong again.

In terms of talent at our disposal, we are a top level championship side, however it's not just about individual talent. As a unit we are currently quite disjointed, it's difficult to know what the tactic is to create chances and confidence must be at an all time low. If you throw in the possibility that we might put out an eleven that has not played together, then the chances of them gelling instantly and playing a team off the park become quite slim.

If we can lose against Grimsby, as we did two seasons ago with a similarly makeshift and low on confidence side, we can lose to pretty much anyone.

Looks like this will be played in front of one of our lowest FA Cup 3rd Rd games in recent times.
Expecting a crowd of around 8,500 including approx 600 hardy fans travelling up from Swansea.
Pre-season size crowd but without the warmth and anticipation.
I am not sure I will be feeling a tinge of pride for keeping up my support in the face of adversity or an overwhelming sense of gloom, doom and despondency for wasting £21.50 and having to suffer another dire performance when I could have stayed at home and watched in the warmth and comfort of my living room on the TV.

If I were the new manager and everyone was fit I'd like to see this in a 442 style with Dibling and Fernandes pushing up...

Ramsdale

KWP THB ABK Taylor

Dibling Downes Lesley Fernandes

Onuachu Archer

I'd like to see this one day but I doubt we ever will with a manager who still wants to play 5 at the back. And yes I know there are question marks over ABK but he's probably still our best CB on paper at least.

Against Swansea? God knows. But we've got bugger all to play for in the League so I hope Juric goes for it with a strong team.

We hosted a group of Swansea fans at Fareham Town FC on NY Day (They like to visit grass roots clubs and put money behind the bar there rather than go to a generic city centre bar/pub-such a great idea) who were a great bunch and drank an heroic amount in the short time they were at Cams Alders (Due to their coach breaking down en-route). I decided to watch their game that afternoon and couldn't believe how inept they were in defence; hopefully they can repeat this on Saturday!

Interestingly, pretty much all of them had the same opinion of RM, an opinion that is remarkably similar to most on here.... :)

Swans fan here...

Not sure of the interest for Sunday from our end. The lingering legacy of RM football still haunts us and we now have his understudy managing us with possession stats.

We have Cardiff away on the 18th so this match especially being on TV on a late Sunday will deter many.

There is a debate whether we should field a strong X1 or a team of fringe players and youth.

Either way I can't see past a Saints win.

Have you seen us play lately? We will do well just to score a goal.

We gifted Pompey 4 simple goals which isn't like us. I'm sure you will cash in.

Watch out for our bizarre formation.

LB is a winger

RB is a central midfielder

CM plays sweeper

Whereas we always play our players in their strongest, most natural positions... ;)

This has all the hallmarks for an absolute classic!! The clubs should have paid for the tickets themselves as an act of goodwill.

They talk about the magic of the FA cup: perhaps we'll both get knocked out this round..

Or we might get chosen by the FA to progress as the 'minnow' this year in their showcase final against Liverpool as they give them the treble ...

We struggled to beat Stoke's reserves mate so don't give up hope yet!

And Cardiff's Reserves at a time when they were really struggling. Only 2 late goals won the day and we very nearly conceded at 3-3.
