Might as well start this now, that way we have a week of comedy to be excited about in this thread. 🤣

I’m more fascinated to know of anyone that has bought a ticket and is still planning on going - why?
Is it wanting to get behind the team?
Is it the fact you’ve paid and don’t want to be out of pocket for nothing?
Is your local comedy club closed that day?
Is your mother-in-law down?
Do you want have a few words with the SR group?

What’s motivating you to go, or to not go? Oh, and what are your predictions.

I don’t have a season ticket. I went to the Stoke reserves game and was massively underwhelmed.

There is no benefit to me paying £30-40 for a match to watch this shit.
It’s been a lot easier and more fun to make that weekly betting against the club because it’s so predictable.

Looks like we've sold about 6000 tickets, doubt it will rise much higher, I know we don't have a fans spokesman but clearly a "boycott" going on, we had about 23k in the same round last year v Walsall (pricing was better and sat 3pm) not many expected to travel from Swansea either.

4.30pm on a fucking Sunday evening just so BBC bloody Wales and BBC iplayer can show it , I'm sure millions will tune in.

I'm ashamed to say I have a ticket. Still clutching on to the old days when the FA Cup conjured excitement in the fans.

It's just lucky it's not being shown on a Thursday evening like Everton v Peterborough is. That is genuinely an outrage.

I might buy a ticket purely so I can go along, find a prime spot for the Tv cameras, by the bench or in front of the directors box, and hold up a massive sign that says “Rasmus Ankersen is a cunt”.

With a bit of luck I’ll get banned for 3 years.

Part of me is hoping you're not jesting... Sounds like a splendid plan to me sir!

Must admit, I don't watch the U21s, but is there anyone who could be given a go in this game?

Two schools of thought. Either Juric puts out what he thinks to be his strongest team and starts to get them playing as a unit. He's effectively got 18 friendlies + a cup run to sort out a team capable of competing; or b) work on the basis that a lot of the current first team will be gone in the summer, so play a few youngsters with promise. Sam AA for one.

I have a ticket and expect to sit in an almost empty stadium listening to a thousand or so Swansea fans taking the piss out of us and our association with our dear departed Manager.
Perhaps Juric will pick a side likely to represent us in the Championship next season which is likely to result in a dispiriting 2-0 defeat against a team that was spanked 4-0 down the road recently and make our collective feeling of acute depression even worse and underline the challenges to be competitive next season.

McCarthy
Bree
Taylor
Downes
Wood
Bednerak
Amo Ameyo
Aribo (!!!)
Manning
Archer
Armstrong

It's an opportunity for a real statement of intent for next season but without our talismanic manager, Russell Martin, we're going to struggle to impose any kind of walking game on Swansea. Reduced to having to run and maybe even tackle we'll be spent by midway through the second half.

Fortunately I'm playing on Sunday, at some stage, thank goodness for rolling subs at our level. Did I consider splashing out £30 to watch Saints and to avoid standing freezing on some muddy touchline?

Did I buggery.

Yep and Sheff Utd v Cardiff is 7pm Thursday, terrible what they've done to this competition.

You'd have thought Juric would be desperate to get a win under his belt and will put out his strongest XI, whatever he thinks that is

Are you replacing Tall Paul up front or maybe Aribo in midfield , or is it Sugawara's place  in defence.  Either way it has to be an improvement.  I look forward  to seeing your debut. 🙄🤣🤣🤣🤣

It’ll be like one of the lockdown games without the canned crowd noise effects, serves SR right.

Taking the opportunity to take my 6yo Grandson to the game. He beat me at Monopoly so this is his punishment.

Relatively cheap and surely there has to be a response. Swansea were taken apart by Pompey, so surely it's  reasonable to be positive about this one.

I assume Downes and Ramsdale will be rested to help with injuries. Onuachu and Sulemana probably sold by then

I'd go with

McCarthy

Sugawara ABK Wood Manning

Ugochikwa  O'Brien-Whitmarsh Fernandes Lallana

SAA Archer

I know it isn't Juric's favourite formation, but there really isn't any call for 3 CHs.

That team should destroy Swansea. There is a lot of Championship talent in there, with more on the bench.

So hopefully they'll avoid conceding 5...

I guess you have seen O'Brien-Whitmarsh playing?

Presume he is decent.

Precious little other than what I read from other posters. However he seems to be highly thought of.  Bought from Cork, U19 and U21 Irish international.

He clearly isn't some wet behind the ears 16 yo. He's 19, experienced and a regular for the under 21s and a successful season in the Irish league under his belt.

With the midfield in its current perilous state, he has to be worth a start in a cup game, otherwise what is the point of signing him.

What happened to that other Irish player we signed, very highly rated? Striker I think? Don’t think I’ve heard much since he signed.

Romeo Akachukwu - plays across the midfield, only 18. Has been playing regularly for the U21s, came on for us in the League Cup vs Cardiff. No idea what he's like as I don't watch the younger sides.

I care. We are woeful. Still like to see us win...and have a cup run. Wigan won it while being relegated.

Swansea to win 5-0 so I can collect a shirt from whichever Saints player drew the short straw. At least it might give Ross Stewart something to do. Although he'd probably injure himself.

i just assumed we crashed out long ago.

I'll leave it for @Matthew Le God to point out that this is the first round that PL sides are involved in the FA Cup and, as such, we haven't had a chance of being knocked out yet... ;)

Well, I come off exhausted having given my all, so that would be an improvement.. Up front preferred, 3 goals this season..:-)

I’ve got it on good authority that we’re going to give Swansea every bit of support to ease us out of the competition so we can concentrate on our Premiership survival fight. We’re so kind hearted like that. One might say Saintsy. 😉

He's an AM more than a defensive one though, I think.

This match is free on BBC2 Wales, so at least I will be able to see all, the goals we let in, unlike Saturday when the first Brentford goal was lost to buffering.

Hope that Aribo is dropped for this one. His tracking of runners is at Sunday League , 10 pints on Saturday night levels.

Yes, I agree. We can concentrate on the cup now. I know this is clutching at straws (in a gale), but there is a long tradition of clubs reaching cup finals in their relegations seasons: Brighton, Norwich, Leicester, Wigan, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth etc.

Luck of the draw, that's the magic of the Cup.

Getting me excited now, will need to dig out my cardboard cut out FA Cup covered in silver foil for the BBC cameras on Sunday
