Got his cock out and did a ‘windmill’ in front of the family section. Heard shouting, ‘come on then, Burnley; you want some? Come get some’

Nice to see a bit of passion.

A windmill you say, on a chilly day like today?

Impressive.

Fernandes was the pick for me, he looks a top grade Premier league player. They'll be a fight for him as well.

Amorim is a fan and didn't want to sell him at Sporting.

Considering that Saints haven't been able to score, defend, or barely get out of their half recently, I'll take a 3 0 win, no matter how limited the opposition.

Sulenana played well first half. Problem is Premier league defenders don't fall for his twisty turny trucks. Nevertheless he put in a proper shift, tracking back and everything. Good to see. Judging by the way he came off I suspect that's his last game for Saints. Seemed to be quite a few goodbyes going on.

Pretty standard for the rest. Tyler's bored teenager act is starting to grate a bit, but the lad has an uncanny knack of turning any player anytime he wants. Big bucks coming in for him.

Fernandes is our best player pretty much every time he plays. People will be talking about Dibling but Fernandes is a more rounded player (he is a couple of years older tbf)

Enjoyed that, glad I went and sad that so many didn’t get to see a rare win.  And given the draw we have a decent chance of being in the last 16, so let’s give the cup a real go.

I thought our best performances were Bree, Aribo, Big Les, Fernandes and Kamaldeen.  More generally it is obvious that Juric is trying to get us much more front foot and pressing opponents all over the pitch, along with getting the ball forward.  Both get the thumbs up from me.

Sadly I think we are doomed, but a positive use of the remaining months of the season for me would be developing the style of play, which is a huge adjustment from Martin, starting to perform more effectively with some results coming in and feeling in good shape heading into the championship without another managerial change and all that comes with it.  And a cup run would make it even better.

Much less cringeworthy than a Ralph "blub" after a win.

Blast, we'll that's that then. Although he is on a long contract so the club are at least in the driving seat.

At least the team looked interested and up for it which is a good sign under Ivan

Only players I’d be arsed about keeping for the championship are Ramsdale and KWP (unlikely) Fernandes and Dibling.

Potentially other useful ones in that division Armstrong, Downes, Bree, Wood, Bednarek, Taylor, THB, Lesley

Maybe Sulemana will finally start to show something otherwise he can go along with all the other crap

I have always thought that KWP could improve our midfield by playing in front of a right back and thought he did very well in that position.
We will miss him when he moves on.
Thought Fernandes was our best player by some distance and another who wont be with us next season

Got to say that the difference in style and tactics isn't terribly obvious to me. Our press is just as easy to play through. I don't see us getting particularly tight or putting defenders under much pressure. Perhaps we did today, but Swansea reserve defenders just are not good enough to play it out from the back.

I see our keeper going long a bit more often, a few less triangle passes to try to work the ball out and retain possession and in the West Ham game we crossed the ball first time, but other than that?

It's early days, so I am not moaning here, but I doubt there are not many that watched the Brentford game that are going to agree that we have improved a great deal.

It's certainly nice to see a win for a change, a very rare event.

It's hard to read much into it though, we were playing against a L1 standard team really what with the players Swansea were missing - but you still have to turn up, and we did. It was a very comfortable and straight forward win.

I find it hard to get too excited though based on what we've had to endure the past 5 months. Not worth getting too carried away with details or individuals as it was such a low standard of opposition.

KWP will go, but the rest are under contract.  I would keep them for a season.

So would I but SR will probably take the ££

One of Russ's favourite players no less. Will be interesting to see if Juric develops the same infatuation over time...

One of the tests for Juric (in my mind) will be how quickly he works out that WS should be plying his trade back at Stoke, or Swansea.

Thought Fernandez was brilliant tonight. And Lesley. How Dibling got MoM is beyond me. Great to see Saints win again though. Even enjoyed the fan zone thing. And Sulemana actually looked ok. What a good day. Predicted  3-0 but didn’t put a bet on. Damn.

It was great to get a comfortable win, a cleansheet and get into the fourth round 😊 (another home draw). Liked the pressing style of play that Jurić has brought. Sulemana was really good, with his lightning pace and the lobbed finish was class 😊 Dibling was class with two neat finishes 😊 I thought Fernandes and KWP were excellent too. Ramsdale too with a fantastic stop in the second half. COYR 😊

When was our last straightforward win before this one? I forget!

Just grateful to be reminded how easy it is to beat run-of-the-mill Championship teams...a feeling I hope to get used to again next season.
