Looks pretty good for mid January, after heavy prolonged rainfall and after 90 minutes of football

In the good old days of the Third round being played on ‘3rd Round Saturday’ in early January the pitches would be churned up, possibly a mud bath*. The games gone soft.

Pretty straightforward win in the end. Swansea looked really poor.

The big plus shows that we looked like a decent championship team.

Dibling is a sulky teenager, great interview 😂

Lol at Dibling's interview. Treated the questions with the contempt they deserved.

I’ll take any kind of cup win if it comes to it, but that was fairly comfortable overall. Cant read too much into the performance, Swansea were goppin’.

A very comfortable win and we played some decent stuff at times but really emphasises the difference in quality between Prem and Championship. We made some sloppy errors that would have been punished in the Prem. Sulemana played well....is this his level? Hopefully it'll give him some confidence.

Easy win but we are so poor overall.

Manning poor, Armstrong pointless along with Smallbone

What's the point in focusing on a negative when we've actually won a game for once and performed reasonably well? We're getting relegate regardless, might as well enjoy a win whoever it's against.

Nice win. Despite the opposition, these results aren't a foregone conclusion, as we've learned all too well in recent years. Scraping through against Cardiff and Stoke's reserves earlier in the season under Martin, getting soundly beaten by Gillingham last season under Martin and losing to Grimsby under Selles. So, at least today we met expectations and restored some pride to the shirt in what has been a very dismal season.

Sulemana wasn't shackled this evening by the need to constantly turn back and retain possession. So, he can do it against Championship opposition, as he was a bit underwhelming last season. Doubt he'll give another Championship season a go though, if all these European sides are interested. But, Edozie could do similar.

At least it shows the side's confidence isn't completely shot to bits and we are at least still able to comfortably dispatch Championship opposition going into the next season.

A former assistant to Russell Martin, is the Swansea manager and we took full advantage of those awful tactics that gift goals away for fun.

Insightful post-match pitch-side interview with Tyler Dibling at the end there.

Stupid questions really.

Bree, Aribo, Bednarek, Fernandez, KWP all had good games. THB distribution was poor. Manning did ok goi g forward.
Sully got MOTM on BBC and rightly so but should have had 3 first half.

Can only beat what’s in front of you and Swansea were dogshit.

Well we actually won a game of football - that's a novelty and something to hopefully build on. I actually hear the commentator say "Southampton are too sharp for them" - not words we've heard this season.

Swansea a very average mid-table Championship team though, playing Russball with even less talent on the pitch than we have.

Thought we weren't very good actually. Everybody singing Aribo's praise but thought he looked sluggish today. Sulemana good in the first half. Dibbling in the right places at the right time. But all our goals more about poor defending than great attacking.

Smallbone's cameo hopefully enough to show Ivan he should never start - no tackle, and pass it backwards or sideways every time.

Missed opportunity to get Onuachu off the mark?

First full week of Juric with his own staff

Great to see attacks where we have players running up both flanks and the centre of the pitch.

Great to see people in the box for crosses.

Watch it back on BBC iPlayer. Shite questions delivered to a teenage player who really couldn't be arsed to answer them, and delivered the bare minimum his media coach has taught him to give. On the plus side he didn't describe even the most mundane obvious thing as "unbelievable"...

Even to the most jaded Saints fan us beating Swansea 3-0 at home, when they are playing makeshift defenders and a pretend goalie isn't 'unbelievable'.

Stupid questions really.

Pointless interview, asking such banal questions. Especially as it was broadcast by BBC Wales.

Can’t imagine many people in Wales giving a shit whether Tyler thought it was his best game, or if it might kick start our season (yes, of course it will, the fight back starts today, you stupid cow ).

Perhaps she should have asked him what he thought of the Ospreys result in Europe, and does he think the WRU were right to keep faith in Gatland.

She should have ended the interview with “thanks, and well done Tyler… the next time you’re  in the Swansea area will you collect your blow job from Myfanwy …?  “

Swansea are the ideal opposition for us. They play the same way as us, make similar mistakes and have similar weaknesses. If we could play them every week we'd win the Championship.

Poor interview technique really. Closed questions which ultimately lead to short answers.

The one about does he hope it has an effect our premier league performances was particularly daft. What’s he gonna say? No I hope it doesn’t and we carry on losing every week.

The thing about Smallbone I really don't get is he just seems to always be ambling around, even when someone's gone past him and he should be busting a gut to get back. When he and Ramsdale managed to give the ball away, I just have no idea what he was thinking - he was marking space the whole time and so Joe Allen gets a free hit on goal from inside the box. I get you have to split the difference to stop the pass being too easy too early, but when he's about to shoot from that close , you have to just throw yourself surely?

Myfanwy might be disappointed with SmallBone but she'll leave Dibling dribbling.

Decent win when we've not had much to cheer about this season. No cupset, job done. Now to see if we can do something in the League.

KWP will go, but the rest are under contract.  I would keep them for a season.

Great to win. A cup run is most welcome.

Routine win, never in doubt. All I can say is thank fuck Lego was moved on, as watching both teams playing Lego ball would have me contemplating staying at home with the snap dragon.

Archer, Smallbone and Adam fucking Armstrong really were pony when they came on.

If Swansea are going to play like that, they really need a keeper who can knock the ball about rather than actually save anything. I know of an Irish lad they could buy. We could even throw Lego footballers Smallbone & Manning in to sweeten the deal.

"I've just seen Southampton beat Swansea and nothing prepares you for this," said Juric after the match. "I cheered, I shouted, I fist-pumped the air. I cried, I stood and cheered. It's absolutely everything that you would hope it was gonna be. I'm so proud to be in it, and I can't wait for you to see it."

When your season is all but over at Christmas and you're only playing friendlies in the league, a cup run at least gives us a bit of interest so I'm pleased that Juric put out what he considered to be our best team.

I don't agree with Armstrong & Archer coming on as subs at the same time. He did that with the Brentford game. They're too similar though I think Archer is marginally better.

Got his cock out and did a ‘windmill’ in front of the family section. Heard shouting, ‘come on then, Burnley; you want some? Come get some’

Nice to see a bit of passion.

Good win & a good first half, 2nd half not so good but think we just sat back. Subs were rubbish when they came on.

Winnable 4th round tie but will be a bit harder than this game.

Hopefully a 3-0 win gives the lads some confidence for the league.

if they were available on loan and on wages they could afford, Swansea wouldn't think twice. Actually, we have four left backs and four keepers...doubt Swansea can afford any of them though.

Just nice to win a game of footy… only disappointment is that the clubs need to better with regards ticket pricing.. great opportunity to fill the stadium for our younger supporters and club fecked that up..

Considering that Saints haven't been able to score, defend, or barely get out of their half recently, I'll take a 3 0 win, no matter how limited the opposition.

Sulenana played well first half. Problem is Premier league defenders don't fall for his twisty turny trucks. Nevertheless he put in a proper shift, tracking back and everything. Good to see. Judging by the way he came off I suspect that's his last game for Saints. Seemed to be quite a few goodbyes going on.

Pretty standard for the rest. Tyler's bored teenager act is starting to grate a bit, but the lad has an uncanny knack of turning any player anytime he wants. Big bucks coming in for him.

Fernandes was the pick for me, he looks a top grade Premier league player. They'll be a fight for him as well.
