Turkish Posted Sunday at 17:52 Posted Sunday at 17:52 premierleague.com/stats/records Despite the misery around the place at the moment there is still much we can achieve. So which ones will we break by end of the season? Good chance of breaking our own record loss Record low points definitely in our sights Record defeats if we can match our first half season form Most home defeats Most away defeats Most goals conceded and fewest scored also a distinct possibility. Most consecutive defeats (might be tough as surely even we can fluke a draw from the next 18 games)
Convict Colony Posted Sunday at 18:11 Posted Sunday at 18:11 didnt want to open this thread as i knew there werent any good records we were going to break. 1
Doctoroncall Posted Monday at 16:40 Posted Monday at 16:40 As there seems to be a bit of a contest at least for 17th place, there must be a record for earliest relegation that Saints can go for. if Saints are going to do it, may as well do it big a get a collection of records. 1
IFHP Posted Monday at 16:45 Posted Monday at 16:45 Yet some of our fans think the team that's got a good chance of going down with the least amount of points , most defeats and earliest confirmed relegation is primed for a promotion push next season . 1
SaintStinger Posted Monday at 16:54 Posted Monday at 16:54 Lowest points at this stage and then go on to avoid relegation? Remain on 6 points all season but win the FA Cup and then winning Europa league from the Championship next season? Yeah sorry I'm being silly. It's sad just how long this season will be brought up in the future for all the wrong reasons unless something silly happens anyway. 1

To be fair we do have a LONG time to plan and prepare for the championship, can even start scouting future opponents. Bit off topic but who do we want to come up from league one? I'm not a fan of the Hollywood documentary but would like to do Wrexham away , something to look forward to
spyinthesky Posted Monday at 17:45 Posted Monday at 17:45 I truly believe if we went down to 10 men early on in a game against a team at the top end of the table the score could easily be double figures. 1
Sunglasses Ron Posted Monday at 17:54 Posted Monday at 17:54 At least we still have a few positive records as well (fastest ever goal and fastest ever hat-trick). These give me some comfort in the face of the current misery.

Both would be great grounds to tick off.
lhammondo Posted Tuesday at 22:44 Posted Tuesday at 22:44 Apparently we're the worst ever premier league team based upon the fact that even Derby had 7 points by this stage of the season.
Galway saint Posted yesterday at 09:13 Posted yesterday at 09:13 Least number of goals scored from set pieces. At the moment I believe it’s nil.

I wouldn't recommend looking up how Derby faired in the championship the season after their Prem shitshow. The last team to go up via the play offs and straight back down, Luton, are currently 20th. Funnily enough the previous play off winners were Forrest, Brentford, Fulham and Villa...all doing very well these days.

Quite a way back a the moment, but Stockport and Mansfield are two grounds I've not been to either. Leyton Orient are in a similar league position - I wouldn't mind going back there. The 2-2 game last time was bloody brilliant. One of the best atmospheres and noises at a Saints away game I have been to, I think. Maybe we can get Michael Antonio back next summer to relive it.
West end Saints Posted yesterday at 18:06 Posted yesterday at 18:06 3 of 20 shortest players in prem history played for saints, Fraser, Dyer and Todd
stknowle Posted yesterday at 18:41 Posted yesterday at 18:41 Highest number of defeats against teams that were so shit they sacked their manager? Not sure what the record is but we’re on 4 and counting after today - Wham, Wolves, Leicester, Man U (ie every team that has sacked their manager). Christ we are going for it this season!

Agree the last one could prove a challenge. Absolute joke this year.

Birmingham (Should) go up as Champions probably with Huddersfield who seem to be hitting form and I think Barnsley will finally go up, Oakwell is always a great ground to visit.

According to the link below this one is (no surprise) currently held by Derby. They were relegated on 29th March 2008 having played 32 games. They are joint 1st with Huddersfield who were relegated on 30 March 2019 also having played 32 games. BTW Portsmouth got relegated on 10 April 2010 after 33 games. Football Special Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Talking of Premier League records I've seen this shared online, "Premier league all time table since it begun 1992" not sure when it is up to but certainly shows some context that as a fanbase we're not one of those "just happy to be here" clubs.

Re Leyton Orient game. Do you mean the 2-0 win at Orient towards the end of the L1 promotion season (that was our last visit) I went and it was great atmosphere that.

Do you mean the 2-0 win at Orient towards the end of the L1 promotion season (that was our last visit) I went and it was great atmosphere that. Actually no, it was the 2009 game I was referring to. We were 2-0 down (a little unfortunate to be so) and then in the second half we absolutely marmalised them. Antonio came on and ran riot. Sr Ricky got at least one of the goals, possibly both and we created loads of chances and somehow didn't get the winner. We had the whole side stand and the noise we made was excellent. I went to the 0-2 game too, which was good, but I think we were in charge of that game throughout, so didn't quite have that great come back feel to it that is always enjoyable. Although I don't want to drop down to that level again, it was fun being the big fish and having a side that was better than most teams and made you feel like you were always capable of winning, even if you went behind.
