I was never a big fan of Radio 1 and their DJs but he was one of the few I would listen to, especially in his later years on the air. He was one of the pioneers of pirate radio on Radio Caroline. It’s hard to believe now how little exposure we had to popular music on the radio back in the 60’s. RIP. Edited 31 December, 2024 by sadoldgit
