Much more of that and I'll be picking up a new hobby on Saturdays until next season starts

If you've got Eurosport, a lot of the downhill and biathlon skiing is genuinely pretty exciting.

Absolutely diabolical performance. Juric is clearly not the man for the job, the 3 CBs, Sulemana, Bednarek as captain etc.

But let's face it, SR left it so long that no decent manager in thier right mind would take this on. We're relegation certs.

Players look absolutely shot. They gave up, Dibbling looks to be at the end of his rope.

Feels like Selles 2.0 where we just see out the remaining games laughing ruefully at comical goals, refereeing, and player x who hasn't scored in seasons filling his boots.

Well that was worse than getting stuffed playing Russball. At least back then I had the comfort of knowing that Russ was not up to it and I expected a beating.

What's really galling is the lack of heart. Have the players just given up?

Juric has an even bigger task than I thought and I already thought it was massive.

There is no 'man for this job'. We had the fourth best team in the Championship, we came up and bought more Championship players. Not even particularly special ones. This sh*tstorm isn't Juric's fault and it wasn't Martin's either. Neither is blameless but neither is the reason we will go down in history as the joint worst PL team ever.

You can accept a lack of skill but the lack of effort from the players yesterday was an absolute disgrace.

Juric looked totally defeated in the post match interview - it only took 3 games. Not his fault of course.

Huge overhaul needed in the summer.

Where on earth do we go from here. Not one player came out of this with any credit at all. Shocking performance and shocking attitudes. All we can hope for is a massive clear out in January and a complete rebuild by Juric's team. Can we hope that SR will sell up and badger off taking Dyson man with them. Please, oh please!

Really annoyed with that performance yesterday. Where was the fight. Its time the owners came out and stated what the intentions are.

A central midfield of Aribo and Big Les highlighted the issues with our shoddy recruitment. We struggled in the Championship without Downes and a young u21 can’t be expected to stop a good Brentford side.

Aribo is not a central midfielder and never will be.

Recruitment shows when Brentford paid £5m for their 3 yesterday and same as when promoted.

SR have a lot to answer for

Absolutely. All on SR this. Comical way to run a football club. I.e. without footballing people overseeing the football.

Fuck Sports Republic. When can we boycott them?

It starts immediately for me. Season ticket or no, I'm not watching that shit again this season. I'll let other people enjoy that "privilege". Utter waste of precious time off.

I have just got back into ice hockey. Used to watch the Guildford Flames 1996-1999. Great sport, fast, exciting, lots of goals for both teams and fights thrown in as well. When I moved back to Southampton used to travel up the the Spectrum to watch them as well.

Now just popping over the border to watch the Solway Sharks. Don’t tend to win that much, but used to that. But with 2 games over the weekend you get more of a chance of winning. Also £1 for the boy to go and £14 for an adult. 7pm face off and finishes around 21:30. Great fun and entertainment. Cannot believe I have been up here 9 years and only just found out they are 35 minutes away.

Nice try in defending the disastrous RM. We had one of the best squads in the Championship, certainly better than Ipswich’s. We finished 4th in a 3 horse race. And look how Ipswich are giving it good go this season. They have a manager who is the polar opposite of that clown RM.

You’ve basically taken the words right out of my mouth. The way they just gave up, to be honest they didn’t show much from the kick off, was an absolute bloody disgrace.

Thats what pissed me off the most. I’ve been supporting this club nearly 50 years so losing isn’t an issue anymore, you accept that. But no effort? Nah, I see only 3 players bothered to acknowledge those left at the end. Anyone know who they were out of interest?

That’s because that legend in his own mind Rasmus “if it ain’t broke then break it “ Ankersen thinks he’s the best DoF, and scout. I’m surprised he didn’t appoint himself as manager as well. Maybe that’s coming next.

Wait for MLG to come along and tell you Mark Bitcon has experience at Man City.

Experience of being Head of performance of the academy for 3 years. Barely what is required here.

The bloke is a Rugby man. Just like Clive Woodward was and look how that turned out. The club is an absolute shambles.

I really had to drag myself to the stadium yesterday. I'm done for this season now. I don't care if I have a season ticket. Frankly, I have no intention of attending another game until Sport Republic leaves. If it takes years, so be it.

Yesterday's performance was utter shit, the people in charge should be ashamed.

But enough about this forum, the Saints result was crap too

Mark Bitcon I'm sure has his own qualities but he's an inexperienced director of football as his background is in rugby. We have appointed from within instead of getting someone in with proper football expertise.

Aribo wasn’t really good enough in the championship… how anyone thinks he good enough for the premier league. It’s all on sports republic and our owner. He’s allowed himself to be completely blind sided by the utter 🔔 ends running this shit show. I’d rather turn on the board rather than the players as if a board shows zero ambition then this clearly filters down to the players. Club is a complete shambles.. as bad as I can remember. We’ve been shite in the past but competitively shite!!!

The club should agree to relegation now and not put us through any more horrific results! It's the least they owe us 😂

Football is such a basic game, just look at how Brentford moved up the pitch with pace and directness. None of tge fans around me could work out what the tactic was Saints were doing. We just waste time being too slow at everything, back to nonsense football.  The few times we did dribble past players the rest of team not moving as a unit or no options.RM BACK IN, at least we knew this was his game plan and what to expect, I can't believe what was on display, 10x worse than possession football,  this was possesion plus, or XL.

I’d like to think losing 5-0 at home to Brentford is rock bottom, however I suspect there’s further embarrassment to come still.

That was one of the worst “performances” I’ve seen from a saints side, an utter shambles from start to finish, and an insult to every single fan that bought a ticket. Can’t believe some of our fans were stood there applauding after the full time whistle yesterday.

It’s time to give up believing that Tall Paul is the answer to our prayers, it’s clear he’s another donkey.

Honestly couldn’t tell you where we’re going to pick up a single point the remainder of the campaign. We have to be witnessing the worst ever season in this clubs history.

Sports Republic are reaching Rupert Lowe levels of ire from me, all 3 of them can fuck off as far as I’m concerned. Even Solak for all his money clearly hasn’t got any fucking brains otherwise he’d have stepped in and put an end to this shit by now.

That tosspiece Semmens has a lot to answer for choosing that Mickey Mouse outfit as the preferred buyers.

If there was “scar tissue” to contend with last season just wait until August rolls around.

I think the club has given up as know it's relegation barr the biggest miracle in football history and players , staff already identified for fire sale. The prices we paid for players is staggering and that needs to be recouped before buying next season in championship.  The new manager is just a PR exercise or some other master planis in motion. The retail and food, drink doing well though!

Dreadful performance and a poor management. Juric has held his hands up to that, which is fair enough, but he better sort it for next week.

I assume some of those selections, and substitutions, were for shop window purposes. Better be, as there really is no other excuse.

THB's form has been pretty poor recently. By taking a decent RB away from him, and expecting him to move into midfield, a once decent defender looks ragged and stretched.

Wood in contrast has been one of the few rays of light and he gets substituted for ..... Taylor.

However, everything revolved around the lack of a midfield. It isolated the attack, such as it is, and exposed an already wobbly defence.

Firstly O'Brien Whitmarsh should have been on the bench. He's young fit and knows the position. If Les is good enough so is he.

Secondly Jan 1st SR should have raided the Championship for a midfielder.

At the very least put a fight up.

Players and fans are broken. Last 4 home league games Saints have lost 16-1. A damming statistic.

Soon those empty seats at the end of the game will be matched by those at the start.

To start only THB came over on his own. Vaguely recall after him it was Bednerek.

And the Tall Paul dream is over. To get cult status, the skill bar is very low (eg. Shane Long), but after that performance, I can't see him reaching it.

Also i missed it by why didnt fernandes play ? injured or ill ?

I wasnt also surprised by the performance either, i think since ivan came in the scorelines were better than the performances in each game, not blaming him just the quality of players we have.

2 shocking chest controls (aribo and HWB) resulting in goals, brentford should of scored more in all honesty and we didnt look like scoring.

After sitting through that disgrace of a performance, I just can't see where we go from here. The only ones to emerge with any sort of credit from yesterday would be Dibling and Ramsdale. The rest of them are a complete waste of time, absolutely pathethic from all of them. None of them are worthy of wearing that shirt, none of them.
