John Boy Saint Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Bloody Fabianski has been our Kryptonite going all the way back to Swansea!
benjii Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Good save. We've created three excellent chances in 25 minutes. 1
Saint NL Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Is this what enjoying football feels like....? 9
Saint_clark Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 One thing i'm noticing as the half goes on is that players are actively looking for the forward pass to Onuachu. He's giving them something reliable to aim for. 2
adrian lord Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 This....excitement...seems alien but enjoyable. 1 1
SaintsBarry74 Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 We're so much more enjoyable to watch now. 3
BotleySaint Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Who knew we could play attractive attacking football. No goals yet but surely it's more likely than not when playing like this. Rather than dull passing around at the back.. 5
Saint_clark Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 How is Wood getting booked there!? It was his own player that hit the keeper! What a joke.
OttawaSaint Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Good idea, chin Fabianski. He's been too good. 1 2

Chez Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 We are pressing pretty high. West Ham are allowing us to, which is good.

This is the most I've enjoyed a Saints performance for a few years I think. I'm seeing effort, variety, passion, and attacking intent. What a nice Christmas present! 5
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Great to see us press so far up the park. Hopefully we can keep this going and not tire out, not being used to this. Hopefully the freedom to actually do things will get them through. KWP and Suga enjoying playing to their strengths for a start. TP moving with an actual chance of getting it in a dangerous position and Fernandes looking good. 1
CB Fry Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 This year, to save me from tears, I'll give it to Ivan Juric. 2
Sheaf Saint Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 I've never seen that before - a player getting booked for a collision with a keeper from a corner.
Saint NL Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Time is flying, 30 mins gone already. Really need a goal from somewhere, tall Paul looks up for it. 1
adrian lord Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 I hope this injury delay doesn't rob our momentum in the game. Get him off and subbed FFS
Saint_clark Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Pretty remarkable that they haven't shown a single replay of the incident despite the game being stopped because of it for almost 4 minutes and them talking about it repeatedly. Just take their word for what happened I guess. 2

Doctoroncall Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 77 corners taken, 0 (zero) goals from them. 😏
Obstacle1 Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 I'm not in favour of violent thuggery but injuring two of their first 11 is an added bonus of this more aggressive gamestyle 2

I reckon it's modern sensibilities - they would have to apply a trigger warning about "some people may find these scenes distressing" or some such like. Edited 26 December, 2024 by adrian lord

St. Ciervo Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Our team is not used to pressing. A large break midway is probably just what we needed. Hope the goalie is alright. Terrible to see. 1
CB Fry Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Smashed through two of their first eleven in half an hour. #aggressive #frontfoot 1
benjii Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Commentators talking like he's on the verge of death, instead of just getting one on the strawb. 1
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Hope that Fabianski is okay. I didn;t see the challenge. And that we get back onto the front foot as quickly as possible.
BotleySaint Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Every time TP controls the ball the surrounding players stop in surprise. 2

RedArmy Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Is that going down as a concussion sub? Amazon saying they’ve still got 4 subs left.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Straight to TP, so we have a focal point. He tries to take it down also good. But they get it...only to be absolutely harried by 3 of our players. Good to see us getting back and winning it.
Chez Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Onuahu, great control and then loses it. Onuachu great control and horrific pass. Onuachu great control and then gives it away. Onuachu, nice control and then loses it. I'm seeing a pattern... 1 1

BotleySaint Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Amazing how our first thought is to attack. Not pass it back and back. Still no goals but really significant change in style. 1
Saint NL Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Shame Sugar slipped a bit before shooting there
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 The legacy of Martin's tenure will be that we will be extremely comfortable passing it around. Especially in tight defensive spaces, but elsewhere too. 1
OttawaSaint Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Need to score. Have a feeling that if WHU go ahead our heads will drop.
Saint NL Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Tal Paul has a bit of pace, he looked slow before, but not today
bangkoksaint Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 Criminal how TP was underused by RM. He’d have destroyed the championship last season 3
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 26 December, 2024 Posted 26 December, 2024 TP really getting involved. I hope this spell comes good for him. He's waited such a long time. 1
