All over.

Lost a game we should have won. Disappointing.

But, generally much better than in recent weeks. Our finishing is is really poor.

Ivan has a lot of work to do.

Day late and a dollar short with the manager change imo

Juric set us up well but dropped bollocks with the subs 

Would've been making all these mistakes with the squad in October if we had a competent board

Was a good focal point for the attack. Actually getting on the end of chances and bringing others into play. And he's barely been given a chance by RM. He didn't fit with the "philosophy".

Well the first half looked decent although being honest West Ham looked a bit out of sorts and, understandably, weren’t really sure how we’d set up. Clearly they had a very good half time talk because second half they had us figured out. TP something of an enigma, a few very good touches but some very poor finishes too. My fear is that if teams figure out how to mark him out of the game, there’s not much else to worry about. Fernandes will get into the box and have chances but his finishing was well off today, that first half header especially.

I’m going to be optimistic and say that Ivan will have learned a lot about his squad today and hopefully we have some fresh ideas for Palace.

Disappointing to lose but I’m actually pleased with the performance. That’s what being subjected to nearly half a season of RM’s philosophy playing out in this league does to a man.

Guardedly confident well avoid the lowest points ever ting. Merry Xmas!!

Much more entertaining......Aribo still wedded to 'Russball' though. A few times he had an opportunity to move forwards but first instinct was to pass back.

I prefer Juric over Martin any day of the week.

Another possible chance to accumulate some points towards that fucking Derby record goes begging.

Happier with that display, give TP some more match time please and am sure will see him bag a few. Good performances all round in the main, though still unsure about Sulamena as he seems to have pace but no idea what to do with the ball when hes not going full tilt

Tall Paul and big les must start every match, even though Russell Martin thought that Aribo and Diaz were better options. 

Big transformation in 2 training sessions, stupid goal to give away.

Considerable improvements.

Disappointed not to get something out of that. Another day TP could have had a hat trick.

Much more enjoyable to watch us trying to create goals.

Only downside is that Sulemana continues to demonstrate that he's not a footballer, but hopefully Ivan now knows this.

A better performance and in some ways an ideal game for Juric. All of our problems obvious in one game. Powder-puff attack, and a dodgy. over-elaborate defence that is always liable to give a goal away. If he didn't understand our problems, he does now!

Promising start for juric . Onuachu was immense despite not having the finishing touch .. bar the finishing though that’s one of the best cf performances we have had for a long time . Decent display by kwp as well especially the chances he created for onuachu and fernandes ..don’t think downes is great in the prem les looked better then him today but it’s a area we are not great in ..

awful miss by Tyler at the end surely you gotta keep that down starting to think he flatters to deceive a bit he’s a good dribbler but doesn’t seem to be doing much else

There were positives - Ugochukwu, KWP was better, Onuachu (apart from his finishing) and we generally looked pretty solid apart from their goal. Good to see us actually getting the ball forwards and creating chances.

The biggest and starkest difference is we are actually creating chances, If we continue we will get goals.

But I am more pissed than ever about the stupid decision makers keeping that utter twat for so long.

I don’t think he dropped anything, the whole team was fading badly, but more importantly he would have wanted to see as many of the main squad as he could. Hopefully he will have learned enough to get Sulemana out of the door and use AA and Aribo as occasional late substitutes only.

We have so much deadwood, the recruitment side of things, Sport Republic have been useless.

 

Talking of usless, Sulemana, it was like playing with 10 men when he came on. Don't want to see him in a Saints shirt again.

Personally I Thought Ugochukwu looks the part. Sugawara really messed up shanking the ball for the corner that led to the goal then played Bowen onside., thats not the first time he's messed up in that position recently. Downs seems off his game. Fernandes was good.

I thought Aribo was hopeless because he is so left footed he is continually passing backwards we just don't need that. He just kills the momentum. Onuachu all round had a good game as did KWP. The centre backs were ok but reverted to square passing too often. Wood has spent too much time under Martin and needs to get with the new direct system.

Overall this was much more like it. If we had played like this from the start of the season we wouldn't be in this position. We wasted half the season playing the crappy possession nonsense. Sulemana looks lively and might be better alongside Onuachu rather than Armstrong or Archer.

I think we played really well!

Tall Paul is a revelation and so much more than a target man. Frankly it's criminal we haven't played him so far, where people have been creaming one off about Delap, we've been trying Diaz etc. So stubborn.

I don't think I could pick out a weak link beyond Arma who is very limited. Would prefer Archer or even Sulemana there. I know Sulemana was carp when he came on tho.

All in all, feel if we made the change after Bournemouth we might have stood a chance. But sadly it feels a bit far fetched now, and a great performance is fine, but zero points gained.

Aribo looks like he is still in possession recycling mode. 

Thought Les and Paul were the standout positives. 

Maybe we can do it!

Lallana should have been on instead of Aribo, at least he can play on the half turn.

He was beyond abysmal when he came on. We effectively reduced ourselves to 10 men.

I know we didn't get the win (or a draw), and I know that that is bitterly dissapointing and not good enough for what we need - but let me put that all to one side. 

That was simply a much better performance. We were comfortably the better team overall, more shots on target, more clear cut chances, higher possession... We've conceded a fecking crazy gang goal after about 6-7 headers and a sloppy corner from Suga. West ham have had 2 shots on target all game. There are a lot of positives to take from that game and how effective we were. But it was a bit like a preaseason friendly re the players learning the tactics and rust to shake off (onuachu). Onwards and upwards I say.

I was impressed by Les. I didn't really watch him closely before. I don't understand how he fell it if favour as we badly needed someone in the middle. In general, the central midfielder did quite well.

So frustrating west ham were there for the taking today and we just haven't got enough quality in the strikers department.... That needs to be addressed asap and it's criminal the money we have wasted on poor players like sullemana and the ever injured Stewart
