Yes, he’s been dealt a bad hand. Yes, the squad is awful. But he is another terrible appointment. 
 

Stubbornly sticking to this ridiculous formation that doesn’t suit that squad at all.… suicide. Again.

Not really picking on your post but have seen this a lot about the formation

 Being a long suffering season ticket holder I have seen this squad and others in recent years played in a variety of systems, 4:2:2:2, 4:2:3:1, 4:3:3, 3:4:3 etc. None of these have made us look any better and we still concede goals at an alarming rate. 

Think it's time to conclude that the players are just not good enough.

Yes but a good manager gives you a chance. 
 

The u21 manager was in charge for a handful of games yet got more out of the players than the last 2 managers just by doing the basics.

Rusk was in charge for two games. The first half against Liverpool in the cup was as bad as anything we’ve played this season. Fulham we got a backs to the wall 0-0 in a game where they wasted enough chances to beat us three or four - nil.

No manager who would ever realistically come here is going to do anything other than lose pretty much every game with our squad. Even the unrealistic names thrown around, like Moyes and Potter, wouldn’t do much better than we’ve done with RM and IJ.

Yep, probably right  

But still, Juric is doing a very bad job. His team selections and subs are awful. 
 

Both can be true. I hope he’s not here into next season personally. The thought of this formation all next season too fills me with dread
