The owner is hardly going to come out and say "we didn't want to pay the money for X in January, Juric is a short term fix and wont be here in the summer".

I'd be amazed if hes still here in the championship, however, I wouldn't mind him staying - given the right players I think he could be a really good, no thrills, manager for us.

It wasn't a point. You asked a question. A question isn't a point. I answered the question. So how is my answer not a valid answer to that question?

Do you not know the difference between points/statements and questions?

Plus even if there was something, which I can't see how there would be. This thread is 15 pages long. All I did is answer a question that was asked. Do you really expect everyone to read every post in a long thread to see if there was something else that changed the question so it can't be taken on face value?

As i stated above which you are ignoring this was a further post on a wider discussion. You ignored the initial post, because you ignored it you have failed to grasp the point being made. You have now continued to ignore it 4 additional times and continue to fail. You have clearly waded into a discussion without comprehending the wider point. Your myopic view of this is your downfall. I better leave it here as people might think you are being bullied again, or you might flounce off like you did before. So I will say for the final time you are wrong. Have a great day.

agreed, i like him and think he could be decent. The key to being a premier league club is to do all you can to stay up the first season not be sticking to some philosophy bollocks or keep playing your mates even though they're clearly not good enough. Elite sport is brutal there is not shame to not being a premier league level player, they are still better than 99.9% of the country (yes MLG i know that is not the exact %) Juric seems to get this.

We only signed 7 players in the summer of the 2012/13 season and then only one player in Janaury (Forren who never played a game). My point is that the gap between the leagues is a lot bigger now than 13 years ago and we may need more significant squad changes than just 7 players like we had in 2012/13.

The summer of 2024 was the time to move on Armstrong, Aribo, Bree, Smallbone, Stephens, Manning etc. They aren't good enough for the Premier League and we needed a complete squad overall. Instead, Russell Martin openly admitted he was loyal to the promotion squad. A larger turnover of players may have caused gelling issues, but it is player quality that has let us down this season so I think it should have been a risk worth taking.

You're still arguing against a point that I never made.

Staggeringly unaware. You pick post after post apart for the most trivial of mistakes in syntax or grammar but then take grievous offence when someone points out a mistake of your own.

Worth pointing out that this takes the 22/23 season results in isolation... his overall PL win percentage is comfortably over 30%.

Still, even at his worst ebb, it shows how further ahead he was compared to the three that followed. But hey, the players were sick of him and did you know he cried in public once.

Absolutely - it was more to show how he did on a more even playing field and the utter shit players we've had for thee past 3 years.

Sure Juric has to work with some crap, but he does not help himself and is tactically poor.

Juric out. 😂

Agree. I can’t say it really feels like a breakthrough, given how poor both teams were and Muric handing us goals on a plate, but a wins a win and I’ll take them however they come. Hopefully Ivan can steer us towards another 6-7 points and we’ll be just another crap, forgotten team with a sub-20 points tally.

It's almost as if ditching Martin and trying someone else was worth talking a punt....

P.s. we're not allowed to mention Martin anymore, so we should both "move on"... ;)

Martin had five, Juric has three. It it wasn’t for a Muric horror show, Ivan would be on seven defeats from seven games, let’s not pretend he’s been a revelation.

If it were going to play that game if wasn’t for a Beto horror show Martin would have 3 or even 2 from twice as many games. Juric has been a revelation compared to your boy.

Are we talking a league win, or a moral, stylistic win? Because oh wow was Martin good at those.

Martins first and only win came in match week 10 in the English premier soccerball league. A glorious 1-0 victory where we absolutely pulverised Everton into submission. Meanwhile useless Juric got a lucky win today in his 8th game.

We’ve taken one less point in the last eight games than Martin took in his sixteen. If you can’t see the difference then I’m afraid no one can help you.

We look a lot better going forwards and just as bad at the back. So, a clear improvement in my eyes.

He was a Forest goal line clearance away from matching him.

The same Forest who won 7-0 today. As you say, the difference is evident.

If we’re also playing they “yeah but” game the foul on Ramsdale at Palace that wasn’t given, another point, the penalty VAR gave v Newcastle another point at least, the forest clearance he could easily have got 3-6 more than that

I think we’re here.

The new manager is nowhere near being impressive, but it’s clear to almost anyone that there has been a bit of a positive difference since he took over.

There were some odd substitutions today. Admittedly that's likely to be a factor of our bench. Yet to be convinced with the 3 centre backs but great to break our losing streak.

Not many of us thought that at the time. I think we were vastly over-estimating the ability of our players.
