With the TV cameras there it may not reflect well on them if they are seen taking part in ugly scenes by their employers. In the current environment redundancy decisions don't need to be made any easier. Why do you think there will be ugly scenes? My word, do you want ugly scenes? I will be taking my place in the protest, I will do my part to ensure it is held peacefully, making my feelings, and those of those with me clear in a dignified way. First we had the comment from Scott, which if any of you have been reading this forum for the last year could see was made tongue in cheek.(you only have to read one lounge thread to see that!) Then we had adrians throwing his toys out of the pram, which i must say surprised me because I remember on his own forum he used to be a laugh and could take a joke. Up to this point it was laughable! Now we have nineteen and others calling forum members chavs and the like for going on a protest and almost wanting there to be trouble IMO. Now pot, kettle, black anyone? I can remember Lowe's supporters telling people not to turn it into a class war, what are you doing now? If people don't want to protest then fine don't, but don't look down upon the people that want to get off their backsides and make a stand, whether it works or not. I have spoken to a few fans who are not from the Northam since the Donny game and some are not going tomorrow as they dont want to see those episodes again. Another couple were so upset that they were due to go into Southampton after the game to the cinema but just drove back home.Some youngsters said that the town that night had a really bad atmosphere. I am not saying the march should not go ahead and I hope it gets the right result but i cant recall it ever doing anything rather than give the media a chance to make people look a bit dim or chavvy.I can see the cameras panning on the hoodies at the front pulling faces at the camera and singing Southamprton til I die while pushing Duncan or Steve out of the weay while they are being interviewed. You may say sensible people are happy clappies or Lowe luvvies but the majority of fans who go to games are out for entertainment.They dont want to listen to polititics it is a pastime.They rightly think that there is a time and place.The march and any protest should be IMO after the game not during.They have a right to protest but not a right to ruin other peoples entertainment that they have paid hard earned money to go and watch.
