Instead we have this super ponderous buildup most of the time. Sulemana has all the physical attributes to be a good player at premier league level but none of the mental faculties to succeed. Jack Stephens doesn't have the sense to realise that VAR will send you off even if you pull someone's hair and the referee can't see it. Russell Martin doesn't have the nouse to realise that continually doing the same thing that leads to you losing will continue to lead to you losing.
