Bizarre selections yet again. Why no Wood and Armstrong ahead of Archer is just ridiculous.

No Wood because Bednarek and THB are better. Armstrong or Archer isn’t much of a choice, I’d go with Archer personally but they’re both Championship strikers.

Makes me laugh that wolves on a heady 9 points have made the decision their managers performance isn't good enough yet we are just content to be the leagues laughing stock..... I think we are as good as done even with a win tonight as I just don't think we are capable of going on any kind of winning run under this manager but things could have been so different if we had the nerve to act sooner! oh well ... championship football suits us better we weren't ready for the premier League

It's all academic. Will loose regardless which players are selected.

I don't hate that line up. We'll offer pace down the wings. We have a central midfield. Lumley was never getting picked after the crowd cheered him. Hopefully Sulemana has something to prove.

This manager never learns and never will! Armstrong up front for crying out loud and Sulumana who has been terrible every single time he has played. What possible justification is there for his personnel decisions which wildly different all the time…

The only positive shock is that Aribo has been selected after playing well for a number of weeks and usually means you are dropped!
Sick of this fraud of a manager.

These days it doesn't matter at all. We could do ok but there's always 4 or 5 massive giveaways in the box. Martin's subs. Or somehow if we avoid all that, we'd get VARed by a loose thread on Armstrong's shorts straying into an offside position.

What I don't get is he sticks a bunch of midgets up front and then refuses to play in any way to give them a chance, which would be them playing on the shoulder of the last defender and quick balls into the channels. Instead we have this super ponderous buildup most of the time. And I have no idea what AA needs to do to get dropped as he offered absolutely sweet FA against Villa, even less than Archer which is saying something.

It’s all completely academic. Pointless. Futile. No point of these threads when the final outcome is practically guaranteed.

But Lumley kicked the ball long and we conceded. But don't worry Russ doesn't tell them they have to pass out or else.

Ah I forgot that. Amazing really isn't it, pass it short and give it away for a goal multiple times, it's part of the process. Pass it long and give it away for a goal once and you're dropped.

Shop window...he's been told to show himself for our (and his) benefit.

Blimey, Russ is going to let him play his natural game? (with pace, forward-facing, taking people on, etc)... Hoorah!

No, he's dropped because he's a bottom half Championship keeper and our fourth choice. I know EVERYTHING needs to be Martin's fault but Christ, he's being criticised for dropping Joe f**king Lumley.

Any news on the introduction of a 'tongue-in-cheek' emoji...? ;)

P.s. any idea why Russ picked our fourth choice keeper ahead of our third choice keeper last week...?

It's not tongue in cheek, people are genuinely upset by this nonsense. At a guess, I'd assume because McC has had injury issues and was playing with strapping/injections against Liverpool.

Armstrong should only be used out wide where his work rate and running might be useful. He's like a shit Shane long. Relying on him for goals is yet another sign that Martin has lost the plot

NOTHING says goals goals goals more than ‘shit Shane Long’.

Aside from when he was asked to pass it short under pressure he hasn't really done anything wrong.

And when the alternative is a keeper who has been even worse, yes he is being criticised for dropping Joe Lumley.

Adam Armstrong is poor at premier league level because his brain just doesn't work fast enough and makes the wrong decisions or a decision too slowly 9/10 times.

Sulemana has all the physical attributes to be a good player at premier league level but none of the mental faculties to succeed.

Jack Stephens doesn't have the sense to realise that VAR will send you off even if you pull someone's hair and the referee can't see it.

Russell Martin doesn't have the nouse to realise that continually doing the same thing that leads to you losing will continue to lead to you losing.

Maybe just maybe we need someone a little brighter in charge of our team?

The recruitment team are adding the column "brains" to the spreadsheet as we speak

Good evening.

The fuck is that lineup? No idea what he's trying to do there. Surely that's not AArma as the single striker? Can this manager not learn anything?

Yep, that's one of at least two possibilities...

Don't hate the team but we'll still lose. Progress will be not shooting ourselves in the foot all game. For once I'd take a defeat purely because the other team score cracking goals, not because we gift them goals.

That said, I still think we'll make our usual mistake so I'm going for minute 19.

But it's Christmas, stranger things have happened.
