‘Thoughts and prayers’ would suggest it’s not a minor dent in the bumper. Some photos are going around social media of a badly wrecked Ferrari, completely unverified at this stage, in any case we wish him all the best.

Social media, twitter in particular, love sharing fake images of incidents and making them viral. Having said that the image in question if you reverse search it doesn't return any historical results.

Seriously hope he's doing ok because if he was genuinely in that wreck, it looks bad.

The photos are being used by mainstream media.

Hope he pulls through 🙏

If the pic I've seen is genuine, that doesn't look survivable 😥

The damage will look worse because they cut him out of the car.

And if it's a Ferrari it might be left hand drive.

Hopefully.

It was a shock to hear, good that he's conscious but it sounds pretty bad either way.

It's not about football when stuff like this happens, it's really tragic as he's a young lad in his 30's - entire life ahead of him. Just got to hope everything works out for him.

This is the trouble with road legal race cars , totally unsuitable for our roads .

Electric cars more so. My base level model is as fast as a Porsche 911 in a straight line!

Antonio has form for this, he smashed his Lamborghini into a house a few years back (dressed as a snowman).

Pleased to hear that he appears to have survived though, will always cherish his goal at Wembley!

Epping forest roads are not suitable for fast driving , the run off is into trees ! Plus the roads are narrow and twisty .

Quite.

so.. glad he survived but probably driving like an absolute clown and endangering life .

You don’t get that kind of crash from sticking to the speed limit.

The speed limit is probably 60, so you would get that damage if you hit a tree at 60. In fact it would probably be worse, so maybe he was under the speed limit and maybe, just maybe it was a non fault accident.. but don’t let that ruin a totally unsubstantiated theory based on a picture.

Not casting any aspersions here, but I believe Epping High Road is 40mph throughout. This appears to be confirmed here…

Poor man. Wouldn't wish that on anyone, speeding or not.

If he plays again then he will be a lucky man too. I hope he has invested plenty of his wages in something other than fast cars.

Almost certainly not the case here but a copper told me they find a lot of cars going into trees at speed are suicide attempts
