HKsaint Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 We have 4 shots, none of which are off the target! Brilliant!
OttawaSaint Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 Half expecting Lumley to win the ball in Villa's box and then turn and try to pass back to Saints' keeper forgetting that he is Saints' keeper. 2 10
SNSUN Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 Much better defensively. To limit a team to one goal. Genius stuff. Now we need to remember how to scores goals whilst keeping the score down...
Saint Fan CaM Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 Complete waste of time for the club, the players, the supporters. It’s all Russ, Russ, Russ. Just put the twat out to gardening leave and give it to Lallana. 7
HarvSFC Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 0 shots on target, just like against Wolves, despite all the possession. No excuses for that. He's got to go. 3
tdmickey3 Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 Russell Martin masterclass So enjoyable Looking forward to the PR plant posts bigging this one up 3

West end Saints Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 Our biggest, of several problems, is lack of premier quality players rather than the manager. Maybe a better manager would improve us a bit, but we have never had a team anywhere near as weak as this. 3 2 3
saintant Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 Great performance masterminded by Russell. How are we managing to hold on to this football genius. Credit to SR for fending off the daily enquiries they must be getting from every top club in the world. Let's enjoy him while we can because he won't be here next season.....or maybe he will. 6
Baird of the land Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 Should have been about 6 nil (if not for woeful villa finishing) Please would someone at the club get rid of the clown or have they put money on us getting less points than derby. 4

FarehamSaintJames Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 Ten year plan continues to look promising.
Andy Hill Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 Time to start showing real distaste for this pathetic football. Even more so when Shoehorn is selected again.
imadirtyurchin Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 I’m waiting for… RM: ”so so proud of the players. They were so so brave - on the ball and off. Its was a complete performance - just unlucky really. So much love in that dressing room. It was a great result in the big picture. So proud.” 1
Midfield_General Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 Zero shots on target, and if they hadn't been so inept in front of goal it would have been 3 or 4 nil. Can't wait to hear Melchett smugging on about how much he enjoyed it, the cunt. 1

Said to my son, this used to be Saints many years ago, flowing football and free scoring. Usually entertaining, even in defeat. Sadly not in his lifetime. 2 4
trousers Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 In terms of performance, as comfortable a victory for Villa as it was for Chelsea on Wednesday but, of course, Russ will dwell on the close scoreline which belies our underlying ineffectiveness. Defies logic to keep Martin in situ but since when did logic ever play a part in Sport Republic's modus operandi...? 9
pimpin4rizeal Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 Wood actually played well today . We stayed in the game but a typical brave loss to keep Martin and the idiots content 7

macca155 Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 (edited) Well desperate performance, we are in big trouble. Dibling's lungs have been hanging out for the last 15 mins, needed subbing. Good to see Wood have another decent game. That at least is a small positive. Edited 7 December, 2024 by macca155 2
LGTL Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 We’ve become a team that other clubs basically pity. They treat us like a League 1 team arriving for a 2nd round Carabao Cup match. They rest key players and barely break a sweat, knowing full well they don’t need to. That first goal today sums us up. A bouncing ball and THB could have just headed it out for a throw. But he brings it down to try and play it out, gets tackled, and 1-0. Martin is a disease throughout the whole club that needs eradicating. He is completely destroying us, week by week, and I fucking detest him for it. Our situation is now beyond a joke and bordering on completely insane. Our manager has made us the worst team in PL history, and he still sits in the job looking like a smug wanker because he doesn’t give a fuck. It’s Russell Martin first, everything else second. It’s an absolute disgrace. 25
beatlesaint Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 HOW MUCH F’KIN LONGER DO WE HAVE TO SUFFER THIS TWAT ??? Another game without a single shot on target. It’s ridiculous 13
Micky Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 God, what absolute depths we are plumbing.... what the actual f*ck is this football club doing..... absolutely, f*kin woefully embarrassing...! Respect to all who travelled - you deserve a whole lot more than this shower of shyte. 9
Andy Hill Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 I really think my local club side could beat this shower.
AlexLaw76 Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 This is as equally shit compared to Pellegrino 4

IronCitySaint Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 In the last few weeks, we had some decent, fast counter attacks that showed there might be some potential in the team if the pathetic tippy tappy at the back is eliminated. But, today was back to classic RM. Slow, meaningless triangles all over the pitch. No threat, but still with the pathetic back line tippy tappy. It is a hopeless cause. The club is run by morons. Things will never change with this lot in charge. Let's see how many records we can set this year. Lowest points, lowest goals scored, most goals conceded, fewest shots, most mistakes. All records within reach. Brave. 3
aintforever Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 They need to put him out if his misery. 1
tdmickey3 Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 We have progressed today we have made it to 8 points adrift, well done RM 2

That bit might just be enough to avoid the humiliation of the record low points total. That’s all this season is about now. Avoiding being statistically the worst team ever to play in this division. Edited 7 December, 2024 by stknowle 3
saintant Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 Players were brave to go out in that wind today. They also got a bit wet too. I think sometimes we expect too much. 1 6
madge Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 Think I’m just numb now.. I don’t care anymore.. the owner is massively letting the city, supporters and the players down and now needs to show if he’s remotely bothered by making some changes. Who the feck thought signing BBD was a good idea.. I’ve rarely seen a player look so limited at this level. What convinced Martin to leave Armstrong on for 90 minutes… it’s about time the fans started growing some bollocks and not just be happy clappers at matches. 6

SWLondon Saint Posted 7 December, 2024 Posted 7 December, 2024 People keep blaming the players, but the fact is their goal was the product of total lack of coaching. Why the f*** is THB going over there when Duran is being marked by Wood? It happened a number of times in the 2nd half too - this just should not be happening and I blame the coaching staff 100% as this is absolutely basic defensive organisation. How many f***ing defenders are on our staff and why is no one sorting this shit out? 8
