davefizzy14 Posted 2 December, 2024 Posted 2 December, 2024 Happy with the draw and a home tie against lower league opposition. 1
Andrew Watson Posted 2 December, 2024 Posted 2 December, 2024 Probably two of our best performances in the championship were against Swansea last season. The first half an hour in the televised away game,we should have been 6 up in the first half an hour. An 8-1 aggregate over 2 games was still excellent. Oh for a rare home goalfest and clean sheet and then Portsmouth in round 4.

Of course if Swansea do their homework properly they’ll know exactly how to beat us, although that’s not to say they’ll have the quality to do so. Let’s face it we’ve got Stephens and Manning, so it’ll be tough for them. 4

obelisk Posted 3 December, 2024 Posted 3 December, 2024 Swansea in reasonable form and Saints will no doubt field a Championship level team. Could go either way and should offer us an indication as to Saints likely level in the Championship next season.

franniesTache Posted 3 December, 2024 Posted 3 December, 2024 Properly jealous of Spurs. That’s a cracking fa cup draw and exactly the kind of game you want. We’ve got a shit game at home to a team we’ve played loads (and will be playing again next season), who are on a good run at the moment and will probably beat us. Maybe we can make it more interesting by saying the loser gets to keep Russell martin. 1

Football Special Posted 6 December, 2024 Author Posted 6 December, 2024 4.30pm on a Sunday for BBC Wales, should guarantee an absolutely tiny crowd for this one 2
TheAlehouseBrawlers Posted 9 December, 2024 Posted 9 December, 2024 £20 adults (plus booking fee...) £5 under 18s - probably should have been a fiver across the board if they wanted a reasonable crowd for this! https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/ticket-information-for-swansea-fa-cup-fixture

spyinthesky Posted 9 December, 2024 Posted 9 December, 2024 (edited) I reckon this will be a great chance for Swansea fans who have a beef with their ex Manager to come along and make their feelings known, especially if Swansea do well against us, which is a real possibility if our recent games are anything to go by, especially Cardiff and Stoke games.
