As usual my preference would be the skates (home or away), and failing getting them a team i've never been to before away.

Harrogate would be a laugh, @Turkish could organise the DEF to take the tea rooms in a display of strength the likes of which the Harrogate Tea Lady Ultras have never experienced before.

I don’t want to say to much at this stage to alert the OB but  I’d suggest the DEF mob up in Betty’s, traditional old tea room which is a Harrogate institution, it also has windows where you can view all corners of the town centre so we can see if the Harrogate Chaos Crew will be mobilised from afar. They’ll be fuming if take Betty’s on the morning of there biggest ever game. However given my connections with leagues twos top firm I’ll be more of an observer here, instead signing a few autographs and posing for photos with Harrogate’s tops boys. The rest of you better watch out for being pelted with delicate cut into triangle shaped sour dough salmon and dill sandwiches

from Betty’s we can run the gauntlet of hate for the 15 minute walk to Wetherby Road, the chaos crew will be tooled up and may try and ambush by the stray as we approach the notorious Empress Pub  famed for being the haven of the older Chaos Crew, go anywhere near this place and very least you can expect is to get is a stern reprimand for crossing the stray in winter wearing anything other than Hunter wellies.

if you make it to the ground alive you’ll get to experience Wetherby Roads famous curva Nord which makes the chapel kop look like a church choir. Literally tens of fanatical fans running though their repitore creating an atmosphere more like Boca Juniors v River Plate. Fingers crossed for this draw and to quote a famous Yorkshire band, if you are there, beware.

Having just made a special pilgrimage to Bromley to recomplete my 92 I have a feeling we will get Bromley away.

I've yet to go there so would be very pleased, in fact 7 potential new grounds for me in that draw , would be a bonus to get one of those. What's Morecambe like to visit mid-January?

A very, very long way - even when you live in the Midlands like me. And wind whipping off the Irish sea. I have been there on business in the winter.

I’d like us to go through but I shall be away for this one anyway. I used to make sure that I was available for any Saints games but nowadays I have lost interest. I shall even be on holiday for the Chelsea and Tottenham games.

Best of luck chaps 🫣

Winnable home game, hopefully decent ticket prices.

I know, they’ll bring good support. But I’d have loved Pompey at home or a decent away day, ideally somewhere we don’t normally get to see.

A chance to show Swansea the evolution of Martin's possession based game we've all been enjoying.

Prelude to the 25/26 season?

Maybe even the barometer for those players we bought in the summer specifically for the Championship season next year?

Talking about dumbing down. We don’t need a fucking commentary between every friggin number. “Number 48, QPR, lost 4 of their last 6 games on a Saturday and play in hoops”. Just draw the balls and let the games do the talking.

Good chance of us getting the skates in Round 4 then

As my skate mate said Saturday, we’re both so fucking bad if we played each other, we’d probably both lose….

Would expect them to get through but Wycombe are having a great season, only one league place between them.

Glad I'm not the only person wanting to go back to the blokes in blazers who would just draw the numbers then piss off

S4C usually pick a game, the options are us v Swansea or Cardiff's game at Sheffield United, so it is possible the game gets moved for TV, just for anyone watching you'll have to watch it in Welsh

Yeah didn't they move Swanseas game at Bournemouth to a Thursday night last season for S4C ? That's quite likely it will end up as a random tv pick

They've been doing stuff like that for minimum 25 years. Minimum.

I get the “celebs” doing it and it being on TV (provided it’s blokes who’ve done something in the competition they’re drawing), but we don’t need the pony in between each ball. I’ve noticed it a lot with all types of punditry & commentary, they’re incapable of leaving a silence and letting the actions or words sink in.  It’s like a form of Tourettes.

Quite a few dull one-sided games at Man City. Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle , only interesting if the "big" team is away. Spurs going to Tamworth ticks the boxes for tv magic of the Cup, obviously Arsenal v Man Utd will be first pick on TV

Fortunately, thanks to Nathan we can all speak fluent Footballing Welsh.

"Oooooh, lovely."

"Niiice"

"That's not my team"

"I was brave taking over for the Liverpool game."

"I don't count the Liverpool game."

Yup. Luckily, it's the League Cup semi finals the previous midweek, so the TV picks for the 3rd round will be made before the quarter final so that rules out any day before Saturday as we could in theory still be involved.

However, there are Premier League midweek fixtures after, and we're on Thursday, so theoretically, they could move our match to a Monday night, as we're the only Prem team that can play on that day. Unless they choose a match with all EFL teams like Leeds v Harrogate for the Monday slot.

Hopefully they'll consider the Swansea fans and pick a suitable weekend slot.

The game that famously cup-tied David Brooks.
