Is now the right time to declare I too have spent some of my career in the Sales/Circulation departments of a large Newspaper Group? Twenty years ago now. True story.

 

It all came to an abrupt end but that's what happens when you work with middle class women of a certain age. You try and cheer people up with the old  "trouser elephant" routine but it only takes five or six of them to complain to spoil it for everyone.

They do, but then why should you care? You are too busy boasting about the number of likes and laughing emojis (laughing with you or at you?) you have collected on a football forum.
