Not sure Manning is Pl material. He does give 100% and doesn’t shirk away from contributing.

I wish the players were better able to move and support. You could easily see how Chelsea were more fluid in moving the ball forward. It just seems they were thinking ahead and not resetting when receiving the ball.

Plus, as usual, a team set up by RM gave them complete freedom of the park from the first whistle to the last. He simply has no idea how to set up a team to be tight and compact hence teams he has managed always ship shedloads of goals. I doubt Palmer has been given more time and space in any other game this season.

I know you are one of the cheerleaders and anything detrimental the man you idolise, just goes into the vacuum in your head.

He was using it as as an excuse for the thrashing, he always offers up an excuse for the obvious shit show he is overseeing, but its never him at fault.

Most of us can see this and accept it bar you and the other pom pom wavers

Standard, boring but at least you’re consistent in your missing of the point being raised / discussed and divert by the form of some half wit humour around a perceived idolisation / cheer leading.

Very unusual for you to have a point.

Not sure RM blamed the sending off for the outcome. In the interview I saw he said we were 3-1 down at the time but not out of the game…(or words to that effect) I don’t agree with that, we visibly shrank when the 2nd went in.

Although we had an excellent chance to make it 2-3.

Dibling is great but I doubt we will get 60m for him.

Not so sure. All the big teams will want him. A full season in the prem and their hasnt been a team that he hasnt looked great against. Cole Palmer moved for £40m and had barely played 14 games (including sub appearances) for city and scored 1 goal and he was 21. This kid is barely 18 and looks unstoppable. no way we are selling him for 40m.

Yes we did and I felt that if we had got a second we could have got something from the game. Anyways really dissapointing last night considering we got it back level at 1-1 and we were well on top at that point. The first two goals we conceded were totally avoidable, which is the frustrating thing. KWP was excellent last night and a great assist for Aribo who was good along with Fernandes, Archer, Manning, Bree and Wood.

With all the suspensions and injuries, expectations are at an all time low but we know they will still find a way to let us down.

My pre match prediction came true thanks to Jack Stephens. Couldn't have foreseen that in a month of Sundays. Mind blowingly stupid. I hope they dock his pay for the length of time he's out and yes, drop him from his captaincy. He's not setting an example.

I did not notice who our captain was after JS and AA left the field.  Can anyone help?  Thnx.

Last night I was outraged by Stephens' coarse idiocy, stunned by Lumley's ineptitude, horrified by the skill-less doggedness of Manning and exasperated by the sheer incompetence and lack of effort of Diaz and Sulemana.

What has become of our Saints, the team we used to love and admire, the team that we would follow to the end of our time?

This may be Martin's idea of who the Saints are but not in my name, not anymore.

Sulemana struts around as if he couldn't be arsed and still gets time on the pitch. Where does that put ABK? His head must be so far up his own arse that he gets a real funny taste!

Charlie, I'm not so sure you've got it right with Diaz. I think he's trying, it's just he is so genuinely crap that he looks like he's not putting in the effort.

What is going on with ABK?!?

We started well but everything flipped with the manner of that second goal, it killed the atmosphere. I find it crazy that the usual suspects continue to give the manager a free pass when we concede goals playing it out from the back - This is his style. The sheer arrogance of the man to respond with "it is what it is" when asked about the goal, get fucked mate. The guy is, at best, a mid-table Championship standard manager.

5 points after 14 games, how can the owners find that acceptable? What is their plan for the club because they've looked fucking clueless since their very first transfer window.

If Chelsea had scored 10 last night it wouldn't have flattered them. We could easily have shipped five before we were down to ten men. As a positive we made some good chances but we give away more clear cut chances than we create. Every. Single. Game.

Was it not a piss take aimed at Martin? Didn't think it was meant to be funny, more pointing out how ridiculous it is that anyone would prioritise possession over creating chances.

Liked it, need more of that humour. Plenty more Martin out and Sacked in the Morning needed but some dark humour is important to make Russell feel small and cheer ourselves up.

Better obsessed, than… possessed, as you and a couple of cronies appear to be by a fraudulent “manager”, AKA snake oil salesman.

Yeah can’t beat a bit of cyber sabre rattling. “Everyone should all do this…” Fuck off, do it yourself.

Just caught up on some of Martin's comments, and even James Bree. This is where they start to lose the fanbase, they are seeing an entirely different game to the people who pay to watch it.

How can Bree honestly come out and say 5-1 flattered them? In what universe is he living in? They scored 5, hit the post 4 times and Lumley smothered another 4 poor on-target efforts. We were lucky it wasn't 10.

Yeah it's pure heads in the sand stuff. Wake up and smell the coffee guys - Chelsea missed so many easy chances it really could and probably should have been double figures. Don't insult our intelligence by sticking to Russell's snake-oil salesman handbook.

It's symptomatic of the manager's attitude - when things don't go well it's just bad luck and we deserved more. It's not an opportunity to learn and adapt. The trouble is now that mentality has infected the club culture it's going to be bloody difficult to shift. Instead of embracing failure as a chance to learn we simply embrace failure as a means to maintain the status quo.

Just sick and tired of our club being run by amateurs. Have a look at one of the threads about how Vestergaard was signed behind Bowen and Hughes’s backs (they were on holiday) when they’d clearly said no to him because he couldn’t run (and still can’t as Leicester found out).

The place needs professionalising, no philosophies or bullshit from Rasmus and Russell, carrying on Reed’s legacies. Just decent, counter-attacking passing football with pace that suits the medium-technical players we can normally afford.
