Absolutely no point sacking RM now. Hope we keep him in and make him radioactive to the top two tiers, Jones style.

Hopefully every other club can see the cautionary tales of playing possession-based footy. It's shit and it needs to die a death.

Is it really? Feel sorry for Aribo, Archer, Fernandes, Wood, Manning - put in a proper shift and done their jobs.

But when Captain Crap walks off the job yet again, what does that say about the culture? Yet another keeper concedes two shockers with his feet. They can’t all be deaf. The clown is telling them to do it - and would rather break Derby’s low points record so he can stick to his ‘principles’.

So to confirm: you care, I care, Aribo, Archer, Fernandes, Wood and Manning all care - hence you were speaking bollocks

How many games does our brave and wonderful human being of a captain miss with this red? Two or three? I mean I’d take the next 24 but guess that won’t happen

I think it's 4 because it's his second red of the season. But I could be wrong.

I'm gonna need to see these reciepts where you predicted he would be the worst premier league manager of all time after two 1-0 defeats

Stephens should never play for us again BTW. A fucking disgrace of a ‘captain’.

Seeing as king Russ froze out Taylor for far less, I wonder if his little lover will get the same treatment?!

Jack is such a beautiful man, the lads will soon forgive him once he’s cracking out some bearded banter with the boys.

Rasmus and Russ will organise a meditation and yoga retreat, with added exotic beard and hair oils in the package for the guys to try out

I feared the worst when I saw the players available after the Brighton game, especially against a team as good as Chelsea. It’s a shame because we actually looked like we were playing some good stuff going forward and causing problems at the back. Unfortunately the team was just too make shift and when Stephens does something that astonishingly brainless after half an hour, the writing is on the wall. A handful of players acquitted themselves fairly well, I was pleasantly surprised by Wood, Aribo put a decent shift in and KWP had one of his better games this season.

If they are using every orifice to make you breakfast, you might want to avoid that.

The captain doesn’t - has already sat out 5 with his disgraceful behaviour v MU. Will miss more again. Left his team-mates in the mess and sulked off. Fuck him.

Manager insists on these crazy tactics - letting his players, employer and a city down. As S-Clarke says, a very good barometer of our fanbase, they’re being asked to play that stuff against ECL players like Cole Palmer. Unfair on them as well as us. SR need to hang their head in shame because the manager doesn’t give a shit about the club or results, all about the ‘project’.

That’s bollocks is it?

The club can’t stand any criticism however true.

Ok when do we get to arguing amongst ourselves, is it tomorrow or can we start early.

I dunno but Martin's idealistic interpretation of football survived in the championship but is getting ruthlessly exposed in the premier league, he's not going to change so the board has to make that change for him now.

I'm just bored shitliss with it all now, this isn't fun - hobbies/interests are supposed to be fun, this is a depression inducing shit fest - every week.

That should have been 10-0, let's not kid ourselves. Very, very, very lucky to walk away with just 5 against us.

I don't remember us ever being this uncompetitive at this level, we'd always have some moments/spells in a season where we give a good shot - but we're not even in the game in 90% of this season.

I feel sorry for players like Manning, Wood, Lumley etc - so, so technically limited...yet sold up the river by being told to play that way against international players. They barely got away with it at Championship level, so why we think we're reinviting football is beyond me. There's nothing brave about any of this, the only thing it is would be sheer stupidity.

We've got 5 or whatever months of gloried friendlies whilst we prep for whatever shitshow SR put in place for the Championship next season, hard to get excited about anything.

Agree with this. That defence wouldn't hold up in League 1, let alone the Championship, and then when you lose one of them to being a massive twat...

Wood, Manning, KWP, Aribo, Archer, Fernandes all put in decent performances and were let down by the system. With a different manager we might have made a fight of this. Now it's too late.

Your post sums things up nicely.  There are enough good footballers in this side to have significantly more points.   KWP, Archer, Fernandes and Airibo in particular all outstanding.   The Martin era at Saints should have ended weeks ago. Shame on you Rasmus and co.

Kevin Davies speaking truth about the naivety of trying to go toe to toe with Chelsea.

EVERYONE can see the insanity of RM's philosophy. Except those in charge of the club. It's so fucking depressing.

And yet with our League 1 defence, which I fully agree with, Martin STILL wouldn’t swallow his pride and ultimately do something different. Considering the circumstances, that second goal is a sackable offence. The blokes a moron.

So there’s some law in Germany where if 6 managers turn you down you have to appoint a manager that’s been humiliatingly bad in the prem

Guardian saying Chelsea thrashed us - to be honest, I disagree completely - they were crap and should feel ashamed they only scored 5! Any team with a bit of self belief should have been in double figures at least....

I find it hard to zero in on a single game at this stage, you have to look at the patterns - we do the same thing every single week. We gift up goals and chances every week.

It was even more foolish to do so tonight with the inferior players we had, but In a way I felt sorry for them as they were sold up the river.

I don't think it's ever going to sink into Martin's skull - but I'll say it, we cannot continue this utter insanity with the technical level of players we have. We barely got away with it at Championship level. I've had enough of it. It's not football, it's self inflicted suicide every week.
