Archer! We are sooo poor. What do we do in training all week?

Probably the same thing he did in training when he was scoring 4 in 30-something for Sheff Utd. You can’t just buy anyone and train them to be good, like in football manager.

Downes not quite aggressive enough with that push, he could have been sent off by h.t. And beaten the traffic back down the A27.

Really is getting to be a bit of a farce. The concerning thing is players that have proven themselves to be high quality, like KWP, actually worsening in performances under Martin's stewardship...

Players don’t look like they are playing for the management team. Discipline all over the place.

They clearly don’t agree with the set up one bit. This is a decent group of pro football players, playing within themselves, angry and without any freedom, or voice by the looks of it.

They are playing for themselves and tying to ignore the instructions, and I can’t blame them.

They can see that RM isn’t going anywhere.

Confidence in a group of players playing at this level is shocking. They are all looking for there next transfer.

Why is RM still not being flexible.

Other clubs will see right through him and he will be lucky to get another job in league football, due to his inability to read the game being played out in front of him.

I’m not a football manager, but this isn’t rocket science to work out where it’s all going wrong for us.

I swear to fucking god what the fuck does he see Stephens do that makes him think "yes I need him in my team".

He makes really brave passes backwards.

This is genuinely the worst Saints team I've seen in my lifetime and we've been blessed with some absolute crap over the years, its almost worth applauding how terrible we've become, the club deserve this, the fans and their apathy deserve this (would a northern club allow this?) and if there is any justice in this world Russel Martin shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a football pitch again, the man is worse then Branfoot, Gray or Wotte, its laughable he wasn't sacked at the start of October but we somehow felt loyal to him for him getting us promoted, he made hard work of that.

A chancer who loves his hair and teeth more than the game.

This is purgatory. I am sad to say that after watching Saints for 65 years, and having a ST for around 50 years, it has almost got to the stage where I don't actually care any more.....it has been driven out of me....SO sad....

Actually looked like the ref was reaching to a pocket after blowing up but changed his mind. Must have made 5 or 6 fouls, some cynical.

He’s been their man to take Dibling out when we break. Madness that he’s escaped a booking.

I'm going to Fulham and palace away over the Christmas period. Not really looking forward to the football bit if it's like this which let's be honest is very likely.

Honestly just sell the tickets and do a boozy day in London instead.

It's not just that we lose every week, it's that we aren't even competitive. I would take being down the bottom if we were nicking the odd point and looking a match for the odd team. Even the Everton game that we somehow won we looked complete crap for most of it.

I don't think that there is a single one of our players out there that thinks we can get anything out of this game, let alone win it.

However shit we are right now, who would still rather be Brighton? Tin pot club being proved by the atmosphere in that ground. They started the game 5th in table, are winning and you can still hear the shouting from the touchlines,  almost the same as the covid year with empty stadiums. Embarrassing.

From that performance he looks like he’s lost the players to me.

Far far worse run of games than anything Nathan Jones ever delivered. As for Selles, this bloke makes him look like a football genius.

When he’s sacked performances will pick up and the posters who just want to blame the players quality will have egg on their faces.

This is not good enough and the buck stops with the Lego headed cock.

Brighton deservedly in the lead.

They are stronger and faster, to a point you wonder about our fitness/physicality for this level.

We had our standard couple of defensive errors, nearly conceding.

Brighton don't stop to turn back to defence from attacking positions. They are likely to look forward. With a more attacking line up, that's given them more chances. And they've had good ones.

The goal was a ball allowed to bounce, as we had no one centrally. Suga was miles off his marker, and that's all it takes.

We've had a few very nice series of passes. But we ask an awful lot connecting them up from deep starts. Invariably, there''s too few players to take advantage of the final ball.

Where Brighton pressed, we offered little transition playing RussBall. With a bit more room, we've seen some decent moves. But we expens a lot of energy just getting it past the half way line, compared to our opponents.

Hopefully, we can pinch something second half. But Brighton as likely to get more, leaving us with 0 points away this season.

Can Martin just put Manning out of his misery and replace him with

You can say the same about Manning.  Should be nowhere near the Prem and it’s a damning indictment on Martin that he has overrated the likes of Manning, Stephen’s, Smallbone, Armstrong for so long.

We really do give teams so many wins whilst they’re playing in 3rd gear. Tonight another example. So hyper focused on keeping possession that all us becomes lost.

I would kill to Sule, Tall Paul and ABK playing, high press and defend deep.

Please for the love of Christ get rid of Martin. We are fucking embarrassing ourselves here.

Anyone who suggests that a different manager couldn't make this team better doesn't understand the basics of coaching.. Whether it's enough to stay up I don't know  but it's worth a shot surely because this is fucking stupidity at its finest

Whereas we are the worst team in PL history and our home fans are bang average too.

I think I’d rather be Brighton thanks.
