It’s not the technology - worked fine in the Euros. Unless shit thick English officials (one of whom was caught recently snorting cocaine on camera) used it. Then it was just as much as farce as tonight.

Import most of our offices bar a couple of the untainted ones clean of Stockley, redundancies at PGMOL and re-start the refereeing system from the grassroots.

If the officials can’t implement it properly it should be scrapped. It’s utter rubbish in its current form.

But we can't, so we won't.

Picking a consistent back four with players in the right positions would help.

Just to confirm you’d rather be bottom of the league on 4 points than 2nd in the premier league because their fans are a bit wank?

Yeah id rather take the highs and lows of being an actual supporter instead of wanking over the in form  clubs of the last couple of years you fucking din. . Yeah I'd rather be on 4 points rock bottom supporting my home side than be a Brighton supporter. What actual real supporter wouldn't? If you aren't 12-15 years old then you should be embarrassed by yourself you absolute helmet

But other countries, leagues and international matches are using it fine.

The issue is the same as it was pre-VAR. There’s no point going backwards, deal with the incompetence instead.

It was nowhere near going through his legs 😂

Okay, if you want the exact audio description it went between his trailing leg and his arse as he swung his boot at it. However you want to describe it, he was right in front of the goal and he tried to play the ball. He's interfering, he's offside, the goal was disallowed.

Can’t remember but don’t you love VAR?

The tater said the onfield decision was offside.

Not helped the game one bit imo but take your point about administered better in other countries and competitions. Pile of shite and proven so by how much enjoyment last season without it

I was at a game in Vancouver where VAR stuck its nose in and interfered unnecessarily.

Plenty of Italians and Germans hate it as well

Can't be.

You see, when you have all the possession, the opponent gets tired from chasing it about and then our freshness pays off after 70 mins.

Or something.

So why do we have to put up with it?

Unfortunately we had a chance to bin the absolute shite last season, but no PL club voted to except Forest. Ourselves included.

Geeks rule. Managers like Klopp didn’t help screaming at refs all the time

That’s just an unproven theory. It the opponents don’t chase you around then you get more tired than they do.

Offsides are nothing to do with the ref. VAR remit.

Why do refs blow for offsides and linos flag for them then?  All off/on decisions should be automatically deferred to VAR by that logic.

Further, in this incident, Armstrong's offside position per se was not in question, it was whether he was interfering with play. That determination took 4 minutes, and nothing clear and obvious takes 4 minutes!

Rugby uses TMO mostly very well and cricket DRS. Typical of football to be 15 years behind.

Different sports with different tempos. Plenty of natural breaks so it doesn’t break up the flow of the game so much.

Both sports that are far better suited to it

Refs don’t give offside decisions.

If they used it for the obvious error on field it’d be fine but English officials always have to be the star.
