Okay, that's it for me. I don't care what happens with the rest of the season now. TP has made me a very happy man  with those skills on halfway.  Take care everyone. Love you all.

Tall paul balling out hard this half.

Strong, holds the ball up, physical, step overs and no look passes, if russ drops him next game then i give up.

He’ll take him off on 60 mins

Saints level, no thanks to Martin's dangerously psychotic obsession with possession.

The Liverpool goal was due to overpossession. The equaliser was solely down to dribbling Dibling ignoring the pass pass pass mantra

Maybe we should have stuck with Nathan Jones who understood the skills and true potential of Tall Paul ?

No 🤣. Style wise, Jones was Daddy Bear, RM is Mummy Bear and hopefully the next manager will be Goldilocks

Bbc said we are playing delightful football, can't complain about that.

Tall paul taking his opportunity, good man management to get him to that mindset.

Considering how much we miss bazunu, this is a great effort so far.

Total bollocks.

You're in a minority, I think most people watching think he had a good half, and lovely skill near the end.

I know he's had a great half but I'm talking about the fact that you claim he's doing it because of good man management - he's been appallingly managed and never given a chance by Martin.

at this stage i think russ might need to go to therapy for this obession, its unnatural that we can all see its weakness in our 16 yard box but he cant.

That was actually a decent half of football, I think we did alright considering the opposition. Paul looking decent enough on the ball, although if we’re being completely honest there was a touch of fortune about that moment just before half time.

Obviously we look weaker at the back without JB and Ramsdale but there’s not much we can do about that. McC is our third choice keeper for a reason and we’re going to have accept mistakes like that to an extent (Downes and THB far from blameless either).

We get it, you don't rate TP and don't like being proved wrong a bit like Russell who has massive egg all over his beard right now.

I'm imagining Martin giving Dibling a roasting for running at their defence rather than waiting for a sideways pass. What's the betting Tall Paul gets subbed too?

You've misunderstood the point. The comment was aimed at the fact that Onuachus performance has absolutely diddley squat to do with Russel Martin

What's clear is we have the PLAYERS to be prem league.  Key Q is are we close to getting our system to work or not. CLEARLY there has to be permission to clear long when it gets tight. But was McCarthy's crazy decision to pass to Fernandes at that moment Russell's fault?  Not clear to me.

Meanwhile, if Tall Paul can get a winner second half, there will be a whole new vibe here............  love him.

I don’t think that Dibling had any choice but to go on his own.

Indeed. Does RM not see the fact that the goal came from Dibling doing the opposite of his philosophy

Criminally mis-used and handled by the club. Better to have an empty philosophy leaving you rooted to the bottom of the league instead of competing. Pleased for him that despite Martin and Rasmus that he’s showing what he can do. Topping it off with a goal would give both him and us some considerable cheer.

He’s not really been a goal scoring threat but his hold up play been really good.

As someone who grew up with Danny Wallace and Steve Moran as football heroes before MLT emerged, darting and direct is always good to watch (and effective).

Yes 100%. It's what he's drilling into them in training. Fuck knows why.

I disagree. How many times this season and last have we seen a Saints attacker in a good position turn backwards.

If that ball ricocheted very slightly off his legs in that scramble, it could have been in our net five seconds later. He’s had a good half overall but he got a touch fortunate there.

Typical, Martin wastes TP all season, picks him and he plays brilliantly then gets a bad injury. You can leave him out again now Russ - well done.

Shot there of RM coaching Dibling, Dibs didn't look like he was believing it at all, gave a shrug with his arms outstretched.

He was telling him he should have passed it on that build up to our penalty.
