not Downes fault that he's been asked to play CB against the best forward line in the prem. Would make any makeshift CB uncomfortable.

I have no idea what Russell Martin is expecting to happen when dicking around with the ball in our own penalty area. Liverpool maybe thought there'd be some long clearances to deal with given Tall Paul's presence but it didn't take them long to press high up and wait for the mistake.
