Welby and Christian Child Abuse

Surely the man has to resign. This is another in a very long line of cover ups in the Christian church. If this was an Asian grooming gang we can imagine the outrage but, for some strange reason, there doesn’t seem to be the same outrage when Christians do it. Go figure?

If you want to throw the Pope in as well, fine. Sexual abuse has been going on in all Christian denominations for ever.

I mentioned Welby specifically in this instance  because he knew about Smyth and did nothing about it.

I haven't looked at this case in detail, but has Welby resigned because he is the head of the organisation involved in scandal? Or did he do something personally?

Welby seems a decent bloke. Obviously has shame in what has been covered up. Resignations from heads rare now as there is tendency to ride out any scandal.
