1-1

We will try to contain them instead of going for the jugular from the off. Will set up 5-4-1. Do our normal 62% possession...90% in our own third passing sideways across our own penalty box until someone gifts it to Wolves to score. 1-0 down at half time, we continue the same pattern...introduce Dibbling and probably tall Paul on 60 mins (because that's the plan)...score an equaliser within 10 mins...then revert back to trying to defend a draw rather than go for a winner.

Could be wrong...

6ft 8, joined the forum March 2023. Is your first name Paul by any chance?

Apparently he is only 6foot 7 so he's a short arse

That’s one game, over the years we have seen enough of bed and jack to know they are about same level .. slight preference for stephens as generally he’s better on the ball.

russ will play captain Jack anyway as he likes him more then me

You must be joking.

I’ll be watching the game from Florida, hopefully, looking forward to the 10am kick off so if it goes belly up I can go and hang out with Mickey Mouse in the afternoon.

1-1 prediction, definitely not a clean sheet as they’ve got a bit of attacking threat, defensively though they’re a shambles which will give us a chance.

Another, "we only one because one of our players is good and the other team were not allowed to score illegal goals" argument.

Imagine for a second people using that the other way around for one of our defeats!

We have had and will have games when we get less out of them than our play deserves, and vice versa, accept it happens rather than change what is important. Could of sworn I read multiple repetitive posts on here recently that pretty football or possession don't matter it's about winning - well we did! Enjoy it, our players aren't great and won't win loads!

Which is exactly what I said with "it was good to get out first win and sometimes you have to win ugly"😘

Today will go down in history as "that game when Tyler Dibling...."

He is going to win it and be featured all over Match of the Day etc etc.

Their 2 full-backs are fucking decent going forward.  We need to keep them occupied.
Their centre-backs aren’t great, so we need to put them under pressure.

I think they’re a better side than their position suggests.  They have had a tough run of fixtures.  Not sure if the players buy into their manager’s ideals.  Will they give it 100% to go for the win that will save his job?  I reckon they will, and I think they’ll get it.

Everton were absolute dogshit last week.  Rambo saved us, along with the crossbar and an extremely tight offside.  I’m not sure we get that lucky twice in a row.

Wish I had more hope, but I don’t think we’re particularly improving.

If Wolves have done their homework they'll be looking to swing free-kicks and corners into the Saints penalty area at every opportunity. If there's one thing that was still obvious from last weekend against Everton it's that Saints still can't defend set pieces.

I expect normal service to resume this afternoon and would be happy to get out with a point.

Thing is, can we take advantage of that luck. Hoping we do and then maybe, just maybe it's the start of something more positive. If we're beaten, then it was just that, a lucky win and we're back to square one. I just don't see how RM picks them back up from a defeat today and given the games ahead it could get very grim. But I've given up expecting them to show him the door anytime soon.

They’re actually worse than us for defending set pieces - hopefully THB or Bed can make them pay. Expecting a very nervy, error strewn draw which would be a decent result in building momentum.
Cunha worries me - he is the class player on the pitch and we need to stop him dictating play. If we keep it tight first half their fans could turn - many want O’Neil out. Hopefully the players feel the same and phone it in to get rid of him (whilst great for us - would still be a pretty despicable way of behaving)

Wolves are the only team in the prem who pass it backwards more often than we do, not sure why people think they will be going for glory.

2-0 saints.

With us both passing it back at every opportunity the halfway line is in danger of getting bored and fucking off home.

5live folk talking about how Brentford changed tactics as their goal was to stay in the league. They're saying Martin has to do the same. So, clearly aren't aware of his outlook. They pointed out that for all the possession against Everton, we had around .74xg.

In Bangkok for this one. The omens aren't good.

Last couple of Saints games I've watched out here: Chelsea when they destroyed us a couple of seasons back, and , umm.......Wolves when they put us to the sword.

Decision time: do I watch the game, or go to Nana and watch groups of scantily-clad young ladies jiggling their bits around?

Too late for a poll?

Sorry Martin but your times up if you can't deliver today, we simply have to win! Start with the best players and move the ball faster ditch the passing in front of our own goal! And don't bring your mates on! 😂

Like you won't be calling for him to be sacked if we win today anyway 😂

You have just enough time for a quick bite at Cabbages and Condoms.

Who do you need when you need to get on the front foot against a team low on confidence and desperate for a win? Ryan fucking Manning, that’s who

We’ve taken the lead first in every game he’s started apart from City away 👍

Some people don't seem to understand consistent selection.

Normally after last week I’d be confident of coming back with something, however Wolves are still desperately looking for their first win and we know how that story normally goes when Saints are involved.

How League 1 standard Manning continues to start ahead of Sugawara or Bree is beyond me but that’s what happens when you’re part of the clique. Likewise shoehorn, who hasn’t fared any better or worse than THB or Bednarek really.

Manning who got binned from the squad entirely until 4 games ago, not even making appearances in the cup? yeah he’s completely undroppable!

Russ was just waiting for an excuse to pick him we all know it! Now he’s back he’s staying back.

No, I don’t understand consistently selecting one of the shittest players in the squad.

I could understand against Arsenal to double up on Saka, but how he’s become a guaranteed starter now, I don’t get it. He’s shit.

I don't really think anyone can complain about picking the same 11 that won last week. Sensible, especially as we have a manager than can be prone to over thinking. Happy with that. Dibling to come on and win it.

What excuse did he need? He could’ve started the first game and it would’ve been fair as he’d been our LB most of last season. We’ve been decent in every game since he came back into the team, so why would he drop him?
