Can't defend (ironic when our manager was a defender) and can't score.

There's only one way we're heading.

I have to say a fair chunk of the blame lies at the Sport Republic door. They overspent in our last PL season, so we couldn't invest as much in the squad this summer, when it was required. Let's be fair, I think we are the worst team on paper in the league and I don't think that any manager keeps this side up, but Russell's pure stubbornness to only have a plan A will get you undone in this league against better teams and managers.

You what?

We have spent a fair whack this summer..

He did not say they didn't spend a lot. He said they were restricted from spending more than they did due to previous spending. There is a difference between those two things.

At least we've got the old MLG back... Every silver lining... ;)

He's working his way to becoming one of our most overrated players ever tbh. Nowhere near as great as everyone makes him out to be.

You do come up with some whoppers mate

Which is fucking lucky for us otherwise we'd have bought even more dogshit players.

Our younger son asked why do I watch this if all I do is moan. I told him I have to, as to not do so would be peevish as his older brother is paying for my IPTV subscription.

One win in eleven 4 points in 33 and this fraud is going to keep his job.... Could only happen at Southampton😂🍷🫰

I would say we have spent plenty.....issue is buying quality not quality, which is heavily compounded with the Manager

Wolves last won in the league on the 27th April. They are 2-0 up. How bad must we be…

I think I read that they haven’t kept a clean sheet since February

Define silver? Silver is a cognitive construct based on perception, but perception is different for different individuals due to genetic and environmental influences.

The point he made was they could have spent a lot more in 2024/25 if they didn't screw up the transfers in 2022/23.

I'm watching the game and I think that, especially in the 1st half, we had the chance to take the lead but it's a shame we didn't convert our chances...

I feel sorry for your coach Russell but I think we're going to need a major shake-up very soon and I think his days on the Saint's bench are numbered.

Courage, my friends, my heart goes out to you.

How do you know we would have spent more?

There shouldn't be any days left.

I don't think football existed in the years 23 or 25.

Have you actually watched him today? Utter garbage yet again. But we aren't allowed to criticise him because he's in the "can do no wrong" category. I'm sure you're one of these that thinks Steven Davis was "underrated" as well.

2 big calls gone against us , the disallowed goal toady and shirt pull v Leicester. Important turnings in crucial games

Nothing to do with aimless possession, suicidal defending, and a toothless attack all season?

Has Tall Paul had a ball crossed in to him yet...?

We save our crossing periods for before he comes on.

One things for sure, I’m really glad we waited to see how Russ got on this season before offering him that contract extension.

It was a contractual obligation based on the fact he got us promoted. HTH
