  • Lighthouse changed the title to Wolves vs Saints - Match Thread

I said weeks back that Everton and Wolves were the guillotine games for Martin. If he doesn’t go after today (assuming no miracle comeback in the next 20 minutes) then I really don’t know what criteria the owner and the SR shysters are working to.

Im not watching the game and so reading the reports on here can be dangerous, but why oh why does he not put TP on. IMO his vanity project is more important to him than our survival. He can move on and enjoy his wealth whilst we have to endure a torrid future

Not everything is Martin's fault we've had shit decisions and unforced areas but he certainly doesn't help with his insistence on the dullest brand of football imaginable and his complete refusal to acknowledge that that his style is ineffective in the premier league with our level of players, you would think our points total would give him some kind of hint to mix it up or try something different! Again no confidence that he won't be our manager for the rest of this painful season!

We are going to be relegated but we need a moyes in to give us some fight and dignity and to build some enthusiasm for the championship.....I don't think we will have eleven points all season!

The wolves players will be knackered after chasing the ball any minute now.

Then we'll do some goals and stuff

We've drawn them out, worn them out, now any minute now, we break at pace and the goal and style of football will be so breathtaking and revolutionary that they'll award us 3 goals, blow the final whistle snd Russ will be crowned in a jewel encrusted throne in the centre circle.

Tempting to say that the players have given up and aren't playing for him on the basis of the 2nd half, but then they could just be following his instructions perfectly - hard to tell the difference.

Trouble is, it's likely the board think keeping Martin all season means we have a better chance of getting promoted next year. Little realising he'll have no fan support at all if we go down with a record low points total. Even with expected departures next summer of the jewels we will likely have a better Championship side than the one that just got promoted so any half decent manager would should be able to achieve that.
