Hawkswood Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 Two years ago to this day I posted on here that I was eating cheese and pickle sandwiches at work. You ll never believe it but that's what I've got today as well!! What a day !! What a life. 7
OttawaSaint Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 For a team that are told to pass a lot and probably pass it a lot in training...fuck we're bad at it. Playing in red lads...red!

hypochondriac Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 Everton look a lot more nimble at escaping our tackles. I wish we posed more of a threat going forward.

Saint Fan CaM Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 Southampton: 0 attempts, 0 shots on target. At home - let that sink in. Disgraceful! 2 2 1

Yep but it's been obvious when he's played this season... so why play him? AA was a key reason we got promoted but he's clearly one of those players that's excellent in the Championship and not good enough for the Prem... so why does Martin persevere with him? He's quick and fit but be just doesn't have a quick enough footballing brain. Of course I'm saying this so he can go and prove me wrong... 1

It doesn't help that he's not played in the position he excelled in last season either. Because, why the fuck would we. He's not a number 9 but I do think he could still do a job on the left.

Sheaf Saint Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 Gotta make a change at HT. Swap Arma for Dibling at least to give us some threat on the right. And surely we have better attacking options on the left than Manning, don't we? 1
obelisk Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 Everton are so bad they're bound to walk away with 3 points. 1
swingworkstheoracle Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 Get Paul on as Player Manager at HT 1
Saint NL Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 Unlucky archer, he did everything right there 1

hypochondriac Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 Dibling has to come on for Armstrong at half time for me. Personally I'd like to see Amo Ameyew too. 2
Suhari Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 Unlucky Archer. At last! A forward pass that plays to one of our attackers strengths.
Mallagroth Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 The idea that russ has a style that he is wed to is utter propaganda. There is no attacking plan other than to play cautious first when attacking and take risks passing out from the back. Even that is back to front. There is no other strategy, no other plan other than to hope the players come up with individual moments of skill. 1
stknowle Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 Unlucky Archer. For the pitiful amount of service he gets he does prettt well imho. There’s a player in there. 5
coalman Posted 2 November, 2024 Author Posted 2 November, 2024 We've got a really pacy forward in Archer. Need more balls for him to run onto 1
Saint Fan CaM Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 I reckon Russ tells the lads “don’t worry, we only need one chance”. So that’s what they deliver…one chance. 2
hypochondriac Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 I thought the purpose of playing it around at the back all the time was to draw players out of position so we had opportunities in attack. If we have no chances to speak of then what's the point? 1
OttawaSaint Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 Phew, we're lucky they didn't pass there.
OttawaSaint Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 (edited) FFS, Manning too eager. Edited 2 November, 2024 by OttawaSaint
