Everton will get in our faces and close us down not giving time for tippy tappy stuff. We give it away and they go score. I can see a comfortable 0-2 loss. Man City want to play perfect football and score perfect goals. Everton will just get stuck in and win ugly and easily. Won’t give us the space that City did. We won’t be ‘brave’ and Everton won’t allow any ‘process’ nonsense. Goals win games, we won’t get any. Agree, I'd have Dyche in a heartbeat. He makes RM look like a schoolboy. He will tell them to press high and let our kamikaze defending do the rest. 3-1 to them. 6 1

Edmonton Saint Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 Fail to win today and it’s has to be curtains for Martin. People are saying could another manager get more from this squad, I’d say definitely. We’ve contributed to our downfall numerous times this season due to the system which is a reflection on Martin’s ideology . Off the top of my head :- Newcastle away trying to get McCarthy to play it out from the back, not having an assigned penalty taker against Man U, not having anyone at the edge of the box , Ipswich and Leicester .. I think a semi competent manager could at least get us organized and stop us conceding so many goals from set pieces 1

Midfield_General Posted 2 November, 2024 Posted 2 November, 2024 (edited) Prediction - we'll come flying out of the traps, catch them cold, play some decent stuff and go in at half-time 1-0 or 2-0 up and looking comfortable. They'll change something at half-time, we won't react to it, it'll go to 1-2 and we'll start to wobble. We'll make substitutions that make us worse, it'll go to 2-2. We'll go to panic stations, fall to bits completely and either hang on for a desperate point or lose it in the 5th minute of injury time. Probably by not marking properly for a corner.
