sun of spain Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 If true it's a disgrace, and the culprit needs to be caught a.s.a.p. No one in their right mind would make death threats,Wilde has acted badly but he still doesn't deserve anything like that. Like a few others this Echo story puzzles me,coming as it does before the fans demonstrations. Is this pre-planned to show supporters in a bad light, and deflect onlookers away from the obvious miss-management and problems that exist at St Marys ? Anyone can come up with allegations of death threats, and while I don't disbelieve Wilde the timing certainly is interesting !!

Victor Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 Certainly rather irresponsible without further information. It implies it was from a Saints fan but maybe it's from the husband of some woman he is servicing, or from someone who didn't like the food at his luxury hotel. Maybe it was from his barber. Miltonaggro Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 There is a rumour circulating that Wilde has become embroiled in an amusement arcade turf war with the St Brelades Massive - it's a war zone on the mean streets of Jersey. He has many enemies outside of football! Back on the mainland Hampshire police have taken the death treat very seriously and within 48 hours have narrowed potential authors down to 32,104 suspects... warsash saint Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 More PR crap from the club to try a gain some sympathy before saturday. ottery st mary Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 In the past I used to get threats from my wife and still attended games.. Where as some people pretended to get threats from their wives so they did not have to attend games..As I say, if this is true, it will be sorted...but I know there is and has been doubt about some people not attending games recently and that includes me..... My reasons are straight forward. Some fans of Rupert and some Luvvies on this forum do not like me and therefore I am staying away for my own safety...They are a motley crew and can't be trusted. IF Wildey is truly under threat..then he and his family have my sympathy.....But I do not trust many of these which are often not true and mainly if , true very much crank based. We do not know if this is Saints related as he has many other business ventures in his life.
Gorgiesaint Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 Hhmmm 2 days before a march and more protests this gets released sceptical me...never! As you say 2 days before the march. If this is genuine, why target Wilde? All that is required of him initially is to withdraw his support of Lowe. Could it be that its because he potentially may be there on Saturday & Lowe is off skiing.... Be interested to see what Hampshire Constabulary have to say about it. That said if it is genuine, then extremely stupid & not something we want associated with our club.
Mole Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 That said if it is genuine, then extremely stupid & not something we want associated with our club. I think it's probably true because Wilde would be taking a big risk sending it to himself or getting someone else to send it. The Police would be able to trace it if it was an email - i'd expect that would be straightforward. If it was a letter i'd expect it'd be more difficult though. Mr X Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 Don't get me wrong this is a very serious matter if proven to be true. But it seriously would not suprise me if the club would stoop this Lowe to drum up sympathy. It may be just his latest excuse not to attend, maybe he has more important matters in New York again. Again this is hypothetical and I in no way condone any Threats to anyones safety.

buctootim Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 it is just sh1t stirring my the media imo,i expect lowe gets at least 1 death threat a week but it just gets shredded and nothing is said. it wouldnt surprise me if somebody at the echo drafted the death threat to maintain the pressure and to produce a story..........funnier things have happened. Many people in public life gets crank calls and letters /emails from fruit loops. But this guy backed it up by chucking a granite block through his window. Anyone with a family would involve the police if that happened.

Master Bates Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 So the e.mail wasn't sent directly to Michael Wilde. ottery st mary Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 If this is all true then it sounds business related and the Police will get to the bottom of this sooner than later....In Peter Sellers I trust....If it is not Saints or Saints supporters related, we should be told very soon in order to stop all this inuendo and claptrap( re supporters marching or peaceably demonstrating) towards the football side of his business dealings. Let us hope The Echo spills the beans..
Charlie Wayman Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 Don't believe anything you read in the papers. Everything they do is designed to sell more copy. saint1977 Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 If true - and it's possible - the person is a moron and is not helping anyone. Please may they be nicked asap. However, like Warsash Saint, I smell a rat 2 days before the biggest organised protest since Branfoot. Let's show everyone what a PEACEFUL and targeted protest looks like on Saturday and those targets include Mr Wilde.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 No, but the block through the window was. You don't know that even happened. Or that it wasn't the result of a separate dispute Wilde had with a builder...or quarry! Why do you think elements of the article have been removed ?
