washsaint Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Great fans.................... A bit of perspective is needed and maybe some of the hysterical kids on here should think about that a bit more...........
slickmick Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Shame on them. If its from a Saints fan, how much lower can we go as a club. Some so called fans are a fecking disgrace.
Teddy Nutkins Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Sorry i dislike Wilde for his role in the slow death of this club, but death threats.......bang out of order!!!!!
slickmick Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 (edited) A treat lol Sorry. Edited 29 January, 2009 by slickmick My reading is as bad as Echo's spelling.
Master Bates Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 A police investigation has been launched into the chilling threat aimed at the multi-millionaire businessman. Put some money in the club then! Don't agree with death threats.
StuRomseySaint Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 What the f*ck are death treats? Quality Streets filled with arsenic?
Dicko Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 The world is full of mentally unstable people I'm amazed Rupert hasn't been attacked at some stage
Master Bates Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 (edited) Idiot. tbf the title on the Echo says "Death treats to Saints boss Michael Wilde". Edited 29 January, 2009 by Master Bates
qwertySFC Posted 29 January, 2009 Author Posted 29 January, 2009 What the f*ck are death treats? Quality Streets filled with arsenic? :p Don't you just love the Echo
saintjay77 Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Idiot. he is taking the mic out of the Echo's spelling of Threat. = Treat As for the actual story some idiot is probably responsible and I hope who ever it is gets caught. I want Wilde gone but thats not the way to do it.
Pancake Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Idiot. Read the Echo headline before insulting other members please.
John B Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Sorry i dislike Wilde for his role in the slow death of this club, but death threats.......bang out of order!!!!! I agree with you but he did try to rid the Club of Lowe
slickmick Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Read the Echo headline before insulting other members please. Apologies. My mistake.
Teddy Nutkins Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 I agree with you but he did try to rid the Club of Lowe He did John, he did.Would it be too much to ask to try again and then go forth and multiply himself.
Mole Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 I'm not surpised really. I'd be interested to know in what form it was sent and what exactly was written.
Wes Tender Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 If Michael Wilde recived death threats, then that is a very bad and there is nothing that could justify it. But the misspelled headline sums up the Echo perfectly. It is a local rag of little significance and if they can't even proof-read their main headline properly, then it is symptomatic of the lack of quality in the employees that they have working for them.
lordswoodsaints Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 to be expected imo,it may not be right but he has p1ssed off a lot of people and there is bound to be a small percentage who aint the full ticket. does he seem surprised by this?
Mole Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 What the f*ck are death treats? Quality Streets filled with arsenic? I have visions of Mike biting the heads off jellybabies.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Surely it would be prudent to wait to see if the police can find out who made the threat before condemning another Saints fan. For instance it could have been sent by some nutcase P*mpey supporter to stir up trouble for Saints - as if we need it.
scott_saints Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 I want Wilde gone but thats not the way to do it. Tbf, it would have more of an effect than protests etc. Not that it's the right thing to do, mind.
Greenridge Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Fans can be such *****s sometimes. No wonder people stay away from investing. The fans are the reason no ones investing are they? You couldn't make it up.
lordswoodsaints Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 it is just sh1t stirring my the media imo,i expect lowe gets at least 1 death threat a week but it just gets shredded and nothing is said. it wouldnt surprise me if somebody at the echo drafted the death threat to maintain the pressure and to produce a story..........funnier things have happened.
Mole Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 it is just sh1t stirring my the media imo,i expect lowe gets at least 1 death threat a week but it just gets shredded and nothing is said. it wouldnt surprise me if somebody at the echo drafted the death threat to maintain the pressure and to produce a story..........funnier things have happened. I wonder if it was one of those magazine clipping ones like you see on columbo.
PaulSaint Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Cant condone it, its wrong. Not surprised though.
Give it to Ron Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Hhmmm 2 days before a march and more protests this gets released sceptical me...never!
Snowballs2 Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 I have visions of Mike biting the heads off jellybabies. I do that
saintwarwick Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 I'm not surpised really. I'd be interested to know in what form it was sent and what exactly was written. But do you think it is right?
saintwarwick Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Best thing he can do is sell up and move on. Agreed but he does not deserve death threats (treats).
Mole Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 But do you think it is right? What a stupid question. Of course i don't think it's right.
Give it to Ron Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Is Mike getting his excuses in early for his non appearance on Saturday? IF this is true its out of order but he has set himself up to be very unpopular with his actions since he rode in on his white charger. No excuse for death threats at all. He wanted to be the saviour but ended up being ejected by his own appointees and then sided with Lowe and stabbed loads of fans in the back. Fans in the South get accused of not caring as much as those in the North well we do but hide it more. Football is only a game but to may its a way of life supporting your club there is no choice as I believe its in the blood. Upset too many fans and you then get repercussions like 30 pieces of silver lobbed your way or in this case more sinister things. No excuses and I certainly dont condone this sort of thing but Wilde certainly hasn't helped himself here ****ing off many people.
saintwarwick Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 What a stupid question. Of course i don't think it's right. Respect, well done.
Wes Tender Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 I wonder if it was one of those magazine clipping ones like you see on columbo. HeHe. Police phorensic investigators prove that the clippings came from the Daily Sport and the Beano and conclude that they are dealing with a criminal mastermind.
COMEONYOUREDS Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 absolute disgrace whoever sent this threat is a ***t and needs to get some perspective
saint_bert Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Damn i knew I put the wrong adress on the envelope Que peoples sense of humour malfunction
Gorgiesaint Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Now the true contents of the letter Lowe waived around at the AGM can be revealed, surprised it took Lowe so long to leave it on Wilde;s desk!!
OldNick Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 oddly he threatened us with investment that never was likely to happen either
ottery st mary Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 I told JP he was going over the top and Lowe had to take some of the blame.. If its true then the Police will sort it out...usually cranks and we do not have that sort of person amongst our supporters....On this forum.......well' Hope it gets resolved quickly.
Scudamore Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Look at that puppy dog expression...how could anyone threaten that? It's either that or he's really, really stoned...
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 This is all too much of a coincidence to me. Larg we protest coming up and suddenly Wilde is recieving death threats.............mmmm
OldNick Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 This is all too much of a coincidence to me. Larg we protest coming up and suddenly Wilde is recieving death threats.............mmmm Im surprsed it hasnt happened before.I expect RL's inbox is like a sea of them
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Sensationalism if you ask me, how credible would any threat be ? I would imagine little or no conviction with such a threat, agree it is unpleasant and brings yet more negative exposure to our club, in this instance both he/she/they who made the threat and Wilde should get some perspective.
Mole Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Look at that puppy dog expression...how could anyone threaten that? It's either that or he's really, really stoned... Have you never sucked a Death Treat?
Durleyfos Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 think you'll find it was "deaf threats" Or 'Deaf Treats'. Wilde's paying for a load of deaf kids to go to St Mary's. Come to think of it, that's not much of a treat, the poor little buggers have suffered enough.
SaintRobbie Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Not surprised - this sought of thing was bound to happen - been predicting it for a couple of months. Sadly there are fans whose passion for this club - whilst admirable - clouds their judgement. This sort of thing is disgraceful for one simple reason: How do you expect to find a new owner when people act like this? Who's going to want to buy Saints when this sort of headline follows if you fail? Stupid. Keep sensible and non-violent. One of the saleable qualities of this club is its family oriented mellow fanbase. I know things are tough and hatred reigns but this sort of thing is stupid.
