Saint_clark Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 Bree should be starting at RB given Sugawaras drop off. 1
Suhari Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 So Do we reckon RM will try to paint this as a good performance? 3

jasonbenali Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 Can't believe no one was defending the edge of the box on that late corner?!
Saint_clark Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 Still nobody on the edge of the box when defending corners then. 2

John Boy Saint Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 What is it with defending corners with all 11 in the 6 yard box - that’s like pulling a pin out of grenade and dropping it down the front of your trousers!

Jack Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 Shame we’ve won this really. A confidence boosting win would’ve been fine, this just papers over more of Russball’s colossal cracks. Shocking 14

Mr X Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 Martin will definitely spin this result into being a result of his genius
obelisk Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 Saints slaughtered them on the possession stats so Russell will be delighted.

Lighthouse Posted 29 October, 2024 Author Posted 29 October, 2024 Decent cup tie, when all’s said and done. Into the QFs we go. 1 6

Saint NL Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 Let's hope for a good draw in the next round. So many bad performances tonight, very lucky to scrape through in a game we should have been comfortable

Saint_clark Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 Co-commentator wraps up his day of evidencing that he doesn't know what he's talking about with "James Bree won't score a better goal than that", when he scored a better goal than that in an earlier round of this competition. 8
Saint86 Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 (edited) Can only echo what others have said. That was a poor team performance and will certainly have damaged the confidence of our defensive players. Very poor in an attacking sense as well. A lucky shot, a soft pen, and a free header being our only real threatening chances. Stoke's reserves probably made the better attacking chances tbh. Edited 29 October, 2024 by Saint86 5
RedWillie Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 How the hell we got through that is beyond me. That 2nd half was sh@t. 1 1

Harry_SFC Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 Bree definitely deserves a premier league start. He's underrated IMO. 9
Tanlee Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 Never in doubt, surely our academy produces better players than Lesley, do we really need poor loan players taking up spaces and confusing Russ even more 4

sandwichsaint Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 I don't think he'll be sacked, relegation is priced in, SR won't want to pay out yet more compo for another failed manaer, they see RM as being able to get another promotion. The fans are just collateral damage, we couldn't go down with 'nine' points could we? 1
Challenger Posted 29 October, 2024 Posted 29 October, 2024 A win, but far from being a confidence booster it was a complete and utter joke of a performance . 3
